Tramontina Professional 12 Inch Nonstick Pan

TL;DR
Owners treat this as a cheap, do-everything workhorse and rave about how long the nonstick holds up—many report it still performing like new after 3 to 5 years of regular use. The recurring caveat is that the coating is only as durable as you treat it: most owners say you'll get a few years before it wears out, and you have to avoid metal utensils and high heat to get there. A few also note the handle can feel ungainly and it's not ideal for stovetop-to-oven cooking.

We also have had the 14" same model for a couple of years now. Excellent pans.

The Tramontina Professional pans are NSF rated for restaurant use and are affordable. I’m sure there are plenty of other nonstick pans that are just as good, there may even be some better ones for the money, but the one’s I recommended are a solid choice.

Tramotina pro is excellent cookware and will last for years. It’s all I have used for the last 15 years and I cook daily. Key to nonstick is never go above medium high heat.

if you gotta have a nonstick, I suggest getting the Tramotina Pro Line, relatively inexpensive. I've had mine for about a year with weekly-ish usage and still feels like new.

Only used it a few times so far but extremely impressed with it. Feels like something a professional would use haha...would highly recommend, especially for the price.

A very good alternative is Tramontina Professional Nonstick Restaurant Fry Pan, under 40 bucks from Amazon and Walmart. My mom has one and likes it a lot.

Tramontina makes quality stuff for cheap, and you can buy it on Amazon. Don't worry about babying it. Just don't scrape it with metal utensils.

I've had the Tramontina Professional 12" fry pan, which uses PPG's [Eclipse](https://www.ppg.com/en-US/industrialcoatings/liquid-coatings/eclipse) PTFE coating, for 3 years. Inexpensive and still good as new, as I baby it.

12” decent non stick. Like a Tramontina Professional Aluminum Nonstick Restaurant Fry Pan, 12". I use that pan for most of my cooking. I have several cast iron, stainless, enamel, copper, and other pans. That is my work horse.

I’ve tried ceramic- they were very slick at the beginning but didn’t hold up as long as the tramontina with the red handles have.

The [tramontina nonstick](https://www.costco.com/tramontina-professional-12%22-restaurant-fry-pan%2c-nonstick-aluminum.product.100704291.html?sh=true&nf=true) is a great basic nonstick to have even in addition to your all-clad set

The big exception to that will be the nonstick fry pan. Take care of it and you'll get a good 2-3 years out of it.

the cheap non-sticks they sell [online](https://www.costco.com/tramontina-professional-12%22-restaurant-fry-pan%2c-nonstick-aluminum.product.100704291.html) are pretty great for the price. If you accept the fact that a non-stick is only meant to last a year or two, they're perfect.

I recommend [Tramontina Professional Restaurant Fry Pan](https://www.reddit.com/r/ApplianceAdvice/comments/1gota3h/best_non_stick_pan/), it is superbly nonstick, excellent at evenly distributing heat, easily maneuverable, and affordable. Most nonstick cookware has a three to five year lifespan, so, $30 (give or take) is a reasonable price to pay.

The non-stick coating is slick and releases food with ease. I cooked eggs, fish, chicken, vegetables, and several sauces and never had an issue with food sticking.
