Privacy Policy

We run a deliberately low-data operation. You don't need an account to use OwnersReview, and we don't build advertising profiles of you.

What we collect

• Contact form. When you message us via our contact form, we collect your email (required, so we can reply), your name (optional), and your message.
• Review requests. If you submit a product via our request form, we collect what you enter (product details and an optional email).
• Abuse prevention. When you submit a form we store a one-way, irreversible hash of your IP address and browser user-agent. These cannot be turned back into your identity; they exist only to limit spam and abuse.
• Standard server logs. Like virtually all websites, our hosting provider processes basic request data (e.g., IP, timestamp, page) to operate and secure the service.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not collect special categories of personal data.

How we use it

• To reply to your message or notify you about a review request.
• To operate, secure, and improve the website.
• To comply with legal obligations.

Third parties

We rely on a small number of service providers, including our hosting/infrastructure provider and the Amazon Associates program (see disclosure below). When you click an affiliate link, the destination retailer (e.g., Amazon) may set its own cookies under its own privacy policy. We don't control third-party sites and aren't responsible for their practices.

Owner quotes & removal

OwnersReview aggregates opinions that people posted publicly on sites like Reddit, forums, and YouTube. We summarize and link back to the original source. We don't publish private information. If you posted a comment we've quoted and want it removed, use the contact form (choose “Request quote/data removal”) and we'll handle it promptly.

Your choices & retention

We keep submissions only as long as needed to act on them and maintain records. To request access to or deletion of a message you sent us, contact us via the form. Because we don't maintain user accounts, we may need details from your original message to locate it.

Children

OwnersReview is not directed to children and we don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

Affiliate Disclosure

As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. Some links on OwnersReview are affiliate links — if you buy through one, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. This never affects our scores, rankings, or which products we cover. Our verdicts are aggregated from real owner opinion and are not influenced by commissions.

Informational use only — no warranty

OwnersReview presents aggregated opinions and scores for general informational purposes. It is not professional, financial, medical, safety, or purchasing advice. We work hard on accuracy, but the content is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. You are responsible for your own purchasing decisions.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, OwnersReview and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss arising from your use of (or inability to use) the site or reliance on its content.

Our content & intellectual property

The selection, organization, scoring methodology, recommendation percentages, written summaries, compiled datasets, design, and overall presentation on OwnersReview are our original work and proprietary compilation, protected by intellectual-property and database rights. The underlying individual comments belong to their respective authors; our curation and aggregation of them is ours.

No scraping, harvesting, or reuse of our data

You may view and link to OwnersReview for personal, non-commercial use. You may not, without our prior written permission:

• scrape, crawl, spider, harvest, index (other than by general-purpose search engines for ordinary search results), or otherwise extract or copy content, data, scores, or quotes from the site by any automated or manual means;
• perform bulk, systematic, or repeated downloading, or build or populate any database or dataset from our content;
• use our content, scores, or compiled data to train, fine-tune, evaluate, or ground any machine-learning or AI model, or to create any derivative dataset;
• republish, redistribute, resell, syndicate, mirror, or create derivative works from our content or aggregated data;
• frame the site, remove attribution, or misrepresent our content as your own;
• circumvent, disable, or interfere with any rate-limiting, access control, or other technical or security measure;
• use the site in any way that imposes an unreasonable load on our infrastructure or disrupts its operation.

We reserve all rights not expressly granted. Unauthorized use may violate copyright, database, contract, and computer-misuse laws, and we reserve the right to block access and pursue available remedies.
