Osprey Aura AG 65

TL;DR
Owners are nearly unanimous that this is one of the most comfortable packs they've worn, crediting the adjustable suspension and ventilated back panel that keep heavy loads stable and the back cool even on long days. The recurring tradeoff is weight: at around 5 lbs it's noticeably heavy, and several owners say they'd eventually move to something lighter. A few also found it ran large and wished they'd gone with the 50L.

71% of 24 verified owners recommend the Osprey Aura AG 65.

Osprey Aura AG 65 (yes, it's a bit too big). I know they aren't the most big-ticket items, but really, I can't imagine a more expensive setup making me enjoy hiking enormously more.

I love my pack, it is unbelievably comfortable compared to anything else I’ve used. I’ve become very partial to the brand specifically because of it’s adjustability.

Right away, I noticed that the padding on the hip belt was stiff and thin (which is kind of the exact opposite of what padding is supposed to be). As a result, my first day on the trail with the pack brought bruising and chaffing

I like my current backpack (osprey aura ag 65) but it’s 5lbs! It would be nice to shave off any extra pack weight where I can.

I use an Osprey Aura AG 65 (women's pack) and it carries like a dream ... it is a little heavy but for heavier loads it carries much better.

I took the aura out for a 15 mile hike, but it didn't fit right on my hips, even though i got it fitted properly in the store.

If I had to choose now, I may pick something a bit lighter. Also, mine is older and my hydration sleeve is on the outside. I really like that feature.

when I bring supplies for 10 days my Osprey Aura AG 65 is just perfect.

personally find their packs too flashy and not as comfortable as Gregory

I moved from the Aura 50 to the Exos 38 and I have zero regrets!

I tried on a few different packs with weight in them at REI, and I found the Osprey packs to be FAR more comfortable than anything else I tried on. So to me, the weight is worth it if it somehow defies gravity and makes the carry more comfortable. Haven’t had any complaints on the trail either.

I have this pack and was mildly choked for a year before I learned the chest strap has vertical adjustment.

ended up going with an osprey aura ag 65 after getting fitted for a bag (the men's version is the Astral, I believe). I too am a back sweater and the ag had lots of breathing room.

For multiday backpacking I’ve recently gotten the Osprey Aura 65- I haven’t taken it out on a trip yet, but I’ve taken it on practice hikes loaded, and find it very comfortable and supportive.

I'm 5'6" and wear an osprey aura ag 65 xs. It's comfy enough. I originally tried the medium, but it was so tall I couldn't put my head back. This is still not perfect but fits better than others for me.

I have both the osprey aura ag 65 and the sirrus 44. (The mens version i believe is called Atmos AG 65 and the Stratos 44) They both have really nice deeper side “water bottle” pockets that hold my tripod perfectly.

Also love my osprey aura ag 50 pack , probably upgrade to the 65 soon to go with kiddo. I'm 5'0 and the adjustability without having to wear a youth sized pack is really nice. I can comfortably carry 30lbs on longer trips

I liked it a lot (so comfy!) but my base weight is kind of getting out of hand so I'm going to get an Eja or Lumina soon.

I found a (perfectly fine) Osprey Aura AG 65 in the garage section of my local REI for $100 in the same size as my Lumina (wxs) and it fits EXACTLY the same. I haven't taken it out yet, but I loaded it up and marched around the store. I felt like Cinderella finding her slipper.

I spent 3 years with my Osprey Aura AG and switched to the Osprey Lumina earlier this year. It’s so much lighter but has a familiar fit and feel. Very happy with it, would recommend.

Largely, I love this pack. The sizing is absolutely spot on and it’s incredibly comfortable (oh, the novelty of finishing a day of hiking without a drop of back sweat!).

After using the backpack for more than 8 years, I am happy to see how little wear and tear it has and I’m confident that it’s going to last for many more years.

liked my Osprey. It was like a big comfy Barcalounger on my back.

I have an Atmos and bought the wife an Aura and we love them.
