Marmot Trestles Elite Eco 20

TL;DR
Owners like this synthetic bag for its comfort, roominess, and value, and it's a favorite for people who want to skip down. The catch is the temperature rating runs optimistic, so most add a liner or layers once nights drop near freezing. It's also heavier and bulkier than down, making it better suited to car camping and shoulder-season trips than ultralight backpacking.

53% of 17 verified owners recommend the Marmot Trestles Elite Eco 20.

I got a synthetic marmot trestles elite (womens), comfort rated for 21F and it was def not. I slept in 32 and was freezing so bad i had to go sleep in my car.

Before that I used a Marmot Trestles Elite Eco 20°F (8.4L) bag. It's comfort rated for 32F and this felt about right (I took it down to 25F with layers). It has asymmetrical stuffing so every time I rolled on my side my back froze. It would work for a back sleeper. I did find it clammy though.

My shoulder season bag is the women's marmot trestles elite eco 20°F (note the men's temp rating is different). It's great, again not ultralight being synthetic, but it packs down small for the temperature, is cozy, and not super heavy. I think it's the best for that category without going for down.

Also my first synthetic bag was the marmot trestles elite eco 20 degree and would not recommend that bag because I think the warmth rating is over estimated.

I took the [Marmot Trustles Elite Eco 20](https://www.marmot.com/equipment/equipment-spring-sale/trestles-elite-eco-20-sleeping-bag/AFS_889169471551.html) backpacking through Nepal ~12,000 ft on avg and it suited me pretty well. Used a 75 liter pack and despite the smaller-mid sized pack the sleeping bag fit well. Sleeping bag tightens down well and didn’t r

Marmot Trestles Elite 20 as a sleeping bag. I slept in it down to maybe -2 degrees C which worked OK but it’s really meant for 5 degrees upwards to have a great night.

Sleeping Bag - Marmot Trestles Elite Eco 20. It's not as light as a down bag but I avoid animal products where I can and I spent good money to save weight elsewhere and I'll probably get a lighter bag on the hike as this one gets too warm.

I have the women's version of a similar model - Marmot Trestles Elite Eco 20°, which would be rated ~8° as a men's bag. Mine's probably slightly larger than yours due to the temp rating, and I put it in a 15L compression sack to fit in my pack and it probably gets down to 10-12L.

My first bag was a 20° bag with similar specs.. not the lightest or pack the smallest, but got me out there. Worked well for several years, even in a snow cave.

I have a marmot trestles elite eco 20 that runs too warm for me, so I figured the 15 would be overkill

I used this “Marmot Trestles Elite Eco 20 Sleeping Bag “ a liner is definitely necessary at any temps under 30 Degrees

I really like my Marmot Trestles Elite Eco 20 XWide Roomy and warm (within rating). Packs a bit larger, of course, but worth the pack space, for me at least.

I love my Marmot Trestles Elite Eco 20 in Extra Wide. It’s a great bag. Packs a little large for a backpacking bag, but the comfort and size makes up for it.

After I tried the regular sized one (I still have it, it was a good price, but it was very tight for me)

I just got a good price on a Marmot Trestles Elite Eco 20 from Trekitt (I'm in the UK). Sitting in it right now while my boat heats up (I live on a narrowboat and it is cold in the mornings until the fire gets going) and it's nice and comfortable, not too noisy either. I'm a side sleeper too and although it's not specifically for side sleepers, I find it wor

We tested this bag in icy Utah canyons and nonstop rainstorms in the Pawnee grasslands of Colorado — and it exceeded expectations.
