Personally I find the K to be a bit of a turd with the stock spool. I'd give up its better build and smoothness for the versatility SLX MGL, which I prefer otherwise.

I have 3 Curado K's and just ordered a fourth because my old Citica died. I prefer their centrifugal brakes to mag brakes and I've never had a problem with any Curado.

I have a K and an SLX MGL. the SLX has a better fit and finish and It’s definitely a smaller reel. Prefer the SLX.

I've got some Curdo's and 1 SLX version, used a scorpion DC a decent amount as well. I think they are awesome. I use them for spinnerbaits, crankabaits, spybaits etc. Stuff that you huck and wind.

I have Curado DC's and Scorpion DC's and I usually reach for one of my Tatulas or Zillions when I'm on the water if that tells you anything I just really don't care for the DC reels that much but I will say the Scorpion is the better of the two DC's if you want to try one

I use both Curado DC’s and Daiwa Tatula’s in bait casters and Daiwa Fuego and BG’s and Shimano Stradic’s for spinning rigs. All are well above average for inshore fishing IMHO. Plus they last forever with routine TLC.

I've got 2 old green Curados. Both have been doing their job well for 10 yrs and I'm hoping they'll keep goin until I make my last cast.

I have one Curado DC and two SLX DC's.. absolutely love both of them.. can launch a bait further than I ever have before.

I use them for spinnerbaits, vibrating jigs, crankbaits and jerkbaits. For those applications they are tough to beat.

I use a Curado and a couple of Lews Pro G's in the salt all the time. No big. Just rinse it well and keep it oiled.

I like them both very much. They are both super reels and cast well. The K is quieter on retrieve and the cast.

I have 8 of them and love them. The only time I don't really care for them is casting C-Rigs. They seem to make the computer go screwy. Curado Dc's an Curado K's are all I have in Casting with the exception of 2 Daiwa's and I really don't think they compare to the Curado's.

out of those choices the Curado K is by far the most "refined" in terms of feel.

My son fishes with the Curado K and the DC. He prefers the cheaper K.

My shimano Curado is over 10yrs old and it’s been flawless.

I am very happy with the 6 "K's" I currently have.

the curado is a heck of a reel for the price.
