Klymit Static V

TL;DR
Owners love this pad for the price: it's cheap, packs down to about the size of a soda can, and the V-baffle design is comfortable enough that a lot of side sleepers say their hips never touch the ground. The recurring gripe is warmth, the pad runs cold below freezing and several owners note the real ASTM rating is well below the advertised number, so the uninsulated version is best treated as summer-only. A few also find it too thin or narrow to get comfortable on their side, mention it can be noisy or crinkly, call it bulky for an inflatable, or hit occasional leaks or valve issues.

66% of 627 verified owners recommend the Klymit Static V.

Been using a Klymit Static V. It's comfortable, but it's sort of heavy and I found that after a long day of hiking that I really don't like blowing up an air mattress. So, I replaced it with a Thermarest Z-Lite.

To me 1.9 is a summer only pad. I have been quite cold on this pad in the mid to low 30’s, although I’ve also read plenty of people who’ve slept warm on the pad in similar conditions.

I use a Klymit Static V pad and an REI Co-Op brand 50° sleeping bag. I look and feel like a homeless person but good lord am I comfortable.

I used the Klymit Static V sleeping pad for a long time and it was fine although not ideal for side sleepers.

If you're backpacking, the Klymit Static V is borderline. I haven't been too happy there, so I've upgraded to the Exped Ultra.

The klymit static v is only 2 oz more in weight but I find it's warmer. It's only 2.5" deep, but the design works pretty well and it's dirt cheep.

I bought the higher-end model Klymit Static V Luxe SL Insulated Pad and matching inflatable pillow for $100 from Costco. Great deal and I've been everywhere with that Klymit with no issues other than the insulation not being as good as the $200 sleeping pads.

Klymit static V pad paired with a 20 degree quilt = helluva cold night at 25-30 degrees. Sold both items and bought 0 degree quilt and all season klymit pad, apparently I sleep colder than I thought.

I love my Klymit Static V sleeping pad! It weighs 1 pound and can easily hang from a pack or be stuffed inside.

The only difference, and the reason I'm pretty sure, was using a poorly-insulated Klymit Static V instead of a Megamat.

I've had several different inflatables (Thermarest Neoairs and Klymit Static V) and with proper care and use, they'll last a good long while.

2nd was the klymit static v which lasted 3 years. Good pad for the price. But I'm never going back after getting the Nemo flyer!

The pad is alright on the ground but don't ever sleep on the ground anymore.

A bunch of friends have the Klymit Static V insulated and they love it.

I had that shit for a 3 week AT and the Stryker ate a hole in it. Not impressed with the durability at all for $50.

Watch out for Klymit; the introduction of rating standards hit them pretty hard.

I tried the pad thing it was a wide klymit static v with a no slip bottom in my double layer Chameleon and it slid around like crazy. Cold spots anywhere the pad wasn’t and uncomfortable to lay on. I returned it

Klymit static V pad. It's okay. Better than just the ground. Kinda narrow with not alot space. It was cheap and easy to blow up.

I have also found that my klymit static v air pad is very quiet.

Your problem at least partially is using a Klymit static V which has a standardized ASTM R1.9 rating.

Inflatable sleep pad. I run the Klymit Static V, just wish it had a pillow bulge thing. $40ish
