Owners praise

  • Casts smooth as butter and easy to launch long
  • Excels in windy conditions where you'd normally grab spinning gear
Owners complain about
  • Hard to justify the price over reels costing a fraction as much
  • Reliability complaints: gritty reeling, clicking, or feeling like a lemon within months

What Shimano Curado Baitcast Reel owners say

I've got some Curdo's and 1 SLX version, used a scorpion DC a decent amount as well. I think they are awesome. I use them for spinnerbaits, crankabaits, spybaits etc. Stuff that you huck and wind.

I have 3 Curado K's and just ordered a fourth because my old Citica died. I prefer their centrifugal brakes to mag brakes and I've never had a problem with any Curado.

What Shimano Curado DC owners say

It prevents backlashes during the cast…it does not prevent stupidity.
