Gaggia Classic Pro

TL;DR
Owners love how this machine is built like a tank, easy to repair with cheap parts, and pulls genuinely great espresso for the price. The recurring gripes are real, though: the small single boiler means weak, fast-fading steam that struggles with milk drinks or guests, the temperature is unstable enough that most people end up temp surfing, and shots can be inconsistent (especially light roasts and back-to-back) until you add mods like an OPV spring or PID.

59% of 268 verified owners recommend the Gaggia Classic Pro.

worked well enough but was a chore to heat up (took ages)

These machines will outlast every appliance grade machine hands down.

With the Gaggia, it's very inconsistent from shot to shot.

do not start the journey with a Gaggia Classic Pro. This machine may feel like it's psychotic, one day giving you an awesome shot, another day telling you to go fly a kite with its steam brewing shot making you wonder wtf is wrong

with the GCP you need to temperature surf to get a consistent temperature, otherwise you'll inconsistent results

I think the GCP is the perfect starter machine

I actually ended up returning my Gaggia Classic Pro Evo because of the metal flake stuff going on last year and got a Rancilio Silvia and installed a PID kit on it.

Came from Gaggia Classic Pro and Sette 270, to the above and the Eureka Specialita. Once dialed in, every shot is on point vs the inconsistent ones I was pulling

I have had the Gaggia Pro for three years and love it.

Recently upgrade from a Gaggia Classic Pro and I’ve found the same. I never used to get consistent shots, was always struggling with temperature surfing and inconsistent milk steaming because of the low power.

The Gaggia is a fickle machine. It'll always hold a special place in my heart, but it doesn't necessarily just "work". The OPV spring mod takes 15 minutes and is no big deal and is a must. The temperature surfing is harder to figure out.

it just keeps on going. This is a quality machine!!

the cappuccino & lattes I make are as good as any cafe Ive been to & better to many Ive been to.

It was great for me but ultimately trying to do milk drinks for multiple guests is its achiles heel.

My Gaggia Classic Pro Evo refurb came with like 2 tablespoons of scale in the shower head, it sprayed like a rusty sprinkler head when I first tried it out). It took me a good hour or two of cleaning/flushing to get it all out.

This is my first espresso machine, and I LOVE IT!

I’ve owned delonghi breville and Gaggia classic pro. The Robot is so simple and the espresso is amazing.

There is no comparison between unmod Gaggia classic pro and Profitec Go. I know there is steep price difference between the two, and there is a reason for the difference.

I replaced my Gaggia Classic Pro (2019) with a Robot paired with a Dualit Cino. No regrets whatsoever.

For what it is and it’s price range it is in a class of its own.

I bought a Gaggia Classic Pro first and then later on a Robot. I don't think I'll get rid of the GCP but I use the Robot for all my straight espresso and only use the GCP for milk drinks now.

It is very reliable and solid build and you can get every spare part for low money.

To my gaggia classic pro. And after 1 month I’m thinking of selling it for the top of the line flare

My first machine was a used Gaggia Classic Pro off facebook marketplace that I got for $100. Worked fine. Had to get a new group gasket, but whatever.
