Coralife LED BioCube 32

TL;DR
The BioCube 32 is a fine all-in-one starter that gets you a complete nano setup in one box. Owners are largely satisfied with the tank itself, but the stock light, filtration, and skimmer leave a lot to be desired. Plan to budget for upgrades if you want to keep more than fish and hardy soft corals.

22% of 9 verified owners recommend the Coralife LED BioCube 32.

With the BioCube’s there is a little bit of space between the light and the back chambers that they can jump into. I’ve lost a few fish like this until I bought a guard.

The coralife LED is fine, you can probably do a bit better for not that much.

The biocube is on sale for $213 right now on amazon. I bought mine for $340 so that is a really good price. You won’t get much better than that.

people tend to dump as much money into biocube upgrades as the biocube costs then still be frustrated with them in my experience unless you have a reason to specifically want one.

most of the biocubes are running only a few things and they run great with minimal equipment.

I started with 1 Hydor Koralia Nano 425 head and ended up getting a second one for additional flow. I was much much happier once I got the second one. Had some dead/low flow spots when I tried just 1 that were annoying me.

My favorite investment though has to be the media basket. So much easier to use than that rickety contraption of cheap plastic that Coralife gives you with the unit , clearly more functional and far more durable.

I purchased my 32-gallon biocube about a year ago and absolutely love it.

I hate the stock filter set up. It actually seems there are better hang on back filters that the stock biocube set up.

my stock PC ballasts blew like a week before that in my biocube hood

The stock lights are fine for fish and hardy soft coral, but still not ideal for much more than that.
