Innovative Marine NUVO Fusion 20

Scored on 19 verified owner verdicts, from 266 comments read across 6 communities
TL;DR
Owners of the Innovative Marine Nuvo Fusion 20 are overwhelmingly positive, with multiple people reporting 2+ years of leak-free use and tanks that show no sagging or fatigue even after passing through several owners. The all-in-one design is a recurring favorite, letting owners tuck heaters, filters, and skimmers into the rear sump so the display stays clean of visible equipment and wires, and many feel the tank is well made for the price given the bundled gear. A smaller but consistent minority flags the rear pump chamber layout as the tank's real weak point: if evaporation isn't topped off, the return pump can run dry, and some owners consider the included stock pump low quality enough to replace outright. Overall it reads as a durable, well-designed AIO tank whose main gripe is pump-chamber water management rather than the tank itself.

89% of 19 verified owners recommend the Innovative Marine NUVO Fusion 20, based on real owner verdicts aggregated from Reddit, enthusiast forums, and YouTube.

I tried to put a 75 watt in my nuvo 20 and even that is too tall, water level does not reach the minimum water line on the heater!!

I had one of these for a couple years. Very nice tank.

Return pump: crappy one that came with tank. Replacing with Ehiem Compact 1000

I don’t use one on my IM20. Just do a 5 gallon water change each week.

I like the tank a lot. I like having the ability to hide the equipment in the sump area in the back and not see wires in the main display. I can't think of a single thing I wish otherwise..

Innovative Marine sells some great all in one aquariums. They're predominantly marketed towards saltwater tanks, but I used a nuvo fusion 10 and 20 for planted tanks, and they worked quite well.

I had the same concerns and read multiple threads and reviews before buying my Fusion 20. My impression is these are a great value and look very well made.

Two Kessil a160we's on my tank (IM Fusion 20) gives great spread and colour. I used one for a while after upgrading from the IM Fusion 10, but got some bad shadowing so decided to add a second. Couldn't be happier.

I have IM Nuvo Fusion 20 for about 7 months. I absolutely love AIO style tanks. Heaters diffusers filters skimmers all hidden and tucked away. Very little noise from mine unless I let the water get to the point where the pump runs dry.

My 20 is now on its 4th owner I think and the 10 its third. Great tanks don't be scared they wont leak.

i had the same thing happen to me but IM wanted me to send them the tank back and they would credit me for the value of the tank. the shipping alone was going to be high so i said screw it and just ate the cost of the tank and got a 20 gal fusion. no problem with it since.

I just set up my own Nuvo Fusion 20 not too long ago! I'm loving the tank so far.

2 years on my IM 20! No problems!

The only semi negative thing about this tank is the rear pump chamber design. The pump chamber goes down the center and under the left an right sections. This allows more water to slow the pump running dry if evaporation is not topped off. The sections that are under the right and left chambers can build up a lot of mulm over time. I recommend occasionally turkey basting out this section, especially if you have algae. Beyond that, it is a beautiful tank and will work fine.

As someone who went with a starter kit for my 20 Nuvo, I’d recommend not getting a kit and piecing our the equipment you actually want.
