In owners' own words

I have a MSR Hubba Hubba, that I use solo. It's definitely small for two people. I don't like that it's pitched inner first, meaning if it rains the inside gets wet.

I did a week long hike in a MSR Hubba Hubba 2 tent....says 2 person, but i dont see how 2 people could fit in that...

Hubba Hubba NX (that's the 2person) broke a pole on maybe the fourth time using it
bikecameraaction on Reddit
they are not as durable as similar priced options on the market. If I see collapsed tents after some stormy weather on a camp spot it's always the MSR tents that fail first.

Of the three, my wife and I disliked the Hubba Hubba NX the most, and found it to have the least interior volume.

Auf der kompletten Fläche war das Außenzelt von innen nass, nicht nur etwas feucht, sondern tropfnass.

I had a Hubba Hubba for many years in the Pacific Northwest (rainy) and that was not my experience.

My Hubba NX has also lost the elastic. Was this comped or were you billed?

Bei mir war leider das Innenzelt nicht ganz dicht

it can easily get wet without a footprint

Unfortunately, this season my fly suffered tears, on 3 separate occasions. Once it started to tear, there was almost no stopping it (thank god for T tape). Every time setting it up or taking it down after, I had to be super carful, so not to re start those tears. Can't say I'm to impressed with only getting 4 years out of the fly

suck tent, without vents..

Setup quirks & things to watch for

Not complaints — practical notes from owners that didn't affect the score.

I once lived in an MSR Hubba Hubba for the better part of seven months, though only spring through fall. I definitely wouldn't want to spend a winter in that thing
MasteringTheFlames on Reddit
While it does pretty well in wind, its more of a backpacking size so not as comfortable for extended car camping unless all you're planning to do is sleep in it and store some stuff in it while you're out working.

The box arrived. The old shock cord was white. The poles now have black shock cord. Nice and snug. No charge. Allow several weeks turn around.
