I bought a Keychron Q1 Pro from microcenter which had a similar problem where the shift would work really inconsistently. I felt super bad returning it to microcenter but a keyboard at that price point should be flawless.

I bought a keychron q1 pro with Gateron browns and I hate it. It’s so laggy and I strongly dislike the lack of end, insert, etc buttons.

I don't think it's worth it. Too expensive. I have a Keychron V6 at work and I like it more.

It would definitely NOT be the garbage Keychron Q1 Pro that I started with.

I just got the q1 pro tonight and I did the tape mod and added 2 layers of electrical tape and used a different keycap set and my novel key cream switches and my board still has a lot of ping.

I remember why I lost interest in Keychron. So many problems with this along the way...from wonky stabilizers to poorly machined screws.

Any other Q1 pro owners have a horrible experience with bluetooth on this thing? I can either just straight up not get it to pair, or it'll pair for like a second, then not work, or it'll connect and repeat letters likeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee or just be very delayed.

I bought mine a week ago and I'm having the same issue. It really sucks.

Setup quirks & things to watch for

Not complaints — practical notes from owners that didn't affect the score.

My second keyboard, a Keychron Q1 Pro, is my quiet board, for meetings and shared spaces. It also lets me change up the keycaps, and when I go back to the Sonnet it will feel new again.

the speed of the keyboard is significantly slower over Bluetooth. Not noticeable during normal use but perhaps noticeable while gaming?

I got one with Keychron reds and had the exact same issue. I now have boba U4t switches and it’s way better
