Adidas Adizero Boston 13

Based on 130 comments across 2 communities
TL;DR
Owners call the Boston 13 a genuinely versatile do-it-all trainer with a firm, stable ride and energy rods that make it snappy for tempo and faster work, backed by a much-improved upper and a tough, grippy outsole. The trade-off is comfort: many find it too firm once runs stretch past roughly 10 miles. Fit is the other catch, with a narrow tapered toe box, fussy laces that can bite or loosen, and a slippery stock insole several runners swap out.

45% of 130 verified owners recommend the Adidas Adizero Boston 13.

the Plasticy coating on the toe was horrible it touched my toe and it felt awful and for the foams for the walking and running it felt firm to me (I'm 60kg). Walked off with evo sl instead.

Softer than previous models but amazing return and disappear on the feet. Only issue was Achilles blistering first run, but have the right tightness now and no issues since

I have both of these shoes, and they really hurt the tops of my feet (I think I have high arches) with the stock laces. After switching the laces they've both gotten so much better.

It's important to note that the midsole on the B13 is quite similar to that of the B12. The forefoot also has LS 2.0, you can see it on the medial side of the shoe.

the 13s have never worked for me. I don't get anything back from them. Just using them as Easy/Conversational run shoes until I hit 500km and have an excuse to get rid.

But the 13 is so good. I complicated running my first HM in them and I kinda regret not choosing them. Such a great do everything shoe. They aren’t soft but I don’t feel like I need them to be.

I made this mistake went half down in the 13s as I did that in the 12s and they were too short. Think the extra padding at the back has swallowed up the half size.

I share the same positive experience with you in the Boston 13. I am glad for the inherent stability and ‘firmness’ they provide. Definitely a do-it-all shoe for me

after the 5 or 6 runs boston 13 going melt. What are you thinking? Is it production error or what? Cause shoes are very comfortable i dont want to return but i have to.

I will take my Bostons out for a 15+ mile run but will not take the EVO for more than 10. Bostons are a marathon training shoe the EVO is not

As a heavier guy (96kg) that loves a healstrike when tired these things are absolute beasts. More than capable for everything from a sub 20 5km to a 3.30 marathon.

I don´t like them, too firm. I want comfort for my long runs these shoes don´t provide that. I prefer Evo SL or even Supernova Rise for 20km+ running sessions.

Midsole cut-out on medial side. Some people have reported instability issues (rolling-inwards) because of it. Didn't affect me personally

I really like this shoe and I’ve been running long and tempo/LT runs pain free. Switched from Superblast 2 and Speed 4 which both gave me blisters and sore calfs.

the B13 smashes my middle toe. I do love the rest of the construction of the shoe though, and the new upper works great for my foot. If it was just the same toe box as the B12, it’d be a wonderful shoe.

there is a plastic shank under the midfoot/arch are and you can see it if you remove your insole as its blue and contrasts with the foam

the Boston 13 felt the same for me. I wanted to give adidas another chance but all their shoes have the same upper material so nope not touching one again.

I’ve been using the Boston 13 for runs in the 10-16 mile range, and I enjoy them for that. They feel good throughout the run, and work well at a variety of paces.

I cannot for the life of me figure out how to tie my laces for them! Heel slip or else foot suffocating, no in between unless I stop like 3K in and re-tie.

Reddit▲ recommend

upper is magnificent, it is better than evo sl basically. 2. shoe feels extremely good on foot? b12 wasn't walkable but perfect for run for me, I will take this everyday. 3. shoe feels bouncy as ducks

A week ago I bought a pair of 13 and I have to say they are pretty decent trainers. The most obvious negative thing is their hardness

Reddit— neutral

It just wraps down on the lateral side for some reason. From the other pics I've seen it looks to be about the same split as the 12.

I use them for my tempo runs (10-15 miles) and really like them. They are fast and light and stable and a nice break from my max cushioned daily running shoes.

I’ve used a couple of pairs of the boston over the past couple of years but I don’t think they are better than the Evo SL or as good as the Pro 3 or 4.
