Most common complaints

In owners' own words

We have two of the Levoit Core 300S, and in the last year, we had had both replaced under warranty. Both had their motors fail. They first started making a squealing noise, which got louder and louder. First failed within 30 days, second after six months.

The air purifiers regularly reads a “1” especially when it’s on (understandably), but when I open the door to let particulates in the reading hardly changes while the independent sensors do.

I had a levoit Core300S but this would require changing the filter every 3 weeks as it would get totally saturated in E juice , which would mean a £30 bill every 3 weeks just for filter , not viable

Then I decided on more well-known went for Levoit Core 300s. I could tolerate the Levoit a substantial bit more, but I felt it still unacceptable.

Es gibt auf Amazon so billig Dinger wie z.B. Levoit Core 300s, die sind aber extrem scheiße und bringen gar nichts! (Spreche aus Erfahrung)

I originally had a Levoit Core 300s, and find the Starkvind works a lot better to filter air (and filters are less than half the price).

I have a Core 400S, and two Core 300s. They all make the same annoying motor noise.

I recently purchased the Levoit core 300s also. I have an old Philips air purifier also. I noticed that the Levoit does not detect any change in the air compared to my Philips one. In the same room, dust and smoke, the Philips detects the air pollutants and changes it's icon to red. However, the Levoit doesn't detect any change in the air.

Setup quirks & things to watch for

Not complaints — practical notes from owners that didn't affect the score.

I have two Levoits, a Core 300s in the bedroom and a larger one in the living room. Filter has lasted 4 months with running it 24/7 and cost $25 to replace from Amazon

I use the Levoit Core 300S (or something like that, it's on Amazon). It only contains one filter that does it all, although the filters are pretty pricey.

I have a Levoit Core 300s and the air quality meter on it barely registers when I print, but I also vent to the outside.

running a Levoit Core 300s 24/7 at maximum speed would only cost around 0.90$ USD per month

I use a Levoit Core 300s which has an official integration via cloud, but instead I took it apart and flashed it with esphome which gives it pretty good fully-local functionality.
