I have 3 point source led lights (kessil a360x) over a 5 foot tank and I wouldn't recommend something similar for 4 foot tank. T5ho or reef brite led supplement will be essential because otherwise only about 25% of the rock work will be suitable for spa. They'll die in their shaded areas.

As someone who has AI’s on my main tank, and am going to use kessil on my second tank; I’d recommend getting the a360x. You can start with 2 of them and should be good for your needs.

Scrapped them for an a360x...ended up adding a t5 hybrid to that because the a360 didn't seem strong enough for a mixed reef. With your footprint and doing soft corals, the a360x would do fine.

My LFS has A360x's and A360's side by side on one of their displays and there is a noticable improvement in coloration. The A360x is a better light in terms of looks and I think slightly higher PAR.

Kessils are amazing lights, love the shimmer, from the unique optics, + the small form factor and amazing quality, and the kessil logic, expensive though haha.

I found Kessil to grow corals fine but coloration is just not as good. Switching to AI made a huge difference for me in coloration.

We have our tank in our living room with a kessil a360x and find the light it puts out to be pleasant for the room.

I'm using a A360X on a 20g rectangle. Eventually I will add some sort of blanket light, weather it's t5 or an led bar.

I had a360x (the shimmer is great but kind too much. the par is weak by itself compare to other light) also the orphek compact (pretty good better than the a360x for par but have disco ball effect for sure and the software is hard to use ) no I run the radion G5 pro

Kessil is basically a “pay for that shimmer” type of light for me. I have two a360x over a Red Sea 350. To me, the form factor was a huge selling point. They just look so cool!

I currently have the a360x tuna blue and it does alright. Without buying the wifi controller or the spectrum controller you can't adjust much of the color. It also lacks any royal blue like many of the competitors contain. I Will be replacing mine with a Radeon G5 in the near future because I'm unhappy with the color spectrum.

I’m using a A360X and H80. Great lights!

My 40 breeder SPS tank uses 3 of the kessil a360x to make sure every branch of acro is seeing significant PAR. At retail, with mounts, thats over $1500 of lights. A 36" t5 would have easily given me the same spread, at much less cost.

I have 3 a360x and an aqua illumination t5 hybrid fixture, and the PAR is pretty low, around 275 at the highest point of my rock center of the tank with the most light intersection. I just thought it was because they had crap PAR output..

The a360x is the next step up and would serve this tank well. At 450USD, it can be a tough pill to swallow, but I'm sure you've fallen in love with the kessil shimmer.

They are Kessil a360x ‘Tuna Sun’ lights. It is their reef tank lights with a spectrum for planted freshwater. They work pretty well.

I think the bottom line is Kessil sucks at aesthetic illumination of planted tanks. I’m getting ready to sell my A360X Tuna Sun for the same reason. After seeing how amazing my plants looked with a modern RGB lamp, I can’t stand the Kessil’s dull colors. The Kessil emphasizes yellow and brown, which I don’t think anyone actually wants.

Those are very bright lights .... one would have been enough had you not used the narrow reflector accessory

Can't believe that for a 500$ light you don't even have a schedule with basic ramp up/down included.. I'm tempted to sell it altogether.

I love my Kessil A360X Tuna Sun, I use it on a 40CM cube tank but there’s examples online of people using it for 60 tanks.

All four lights Have had to be replaced in just under a year of service

Lights (seen on the first picture) are Kessils A360x Tuna Sun. Pricey, but incredibly efficient and I love its shimmering.

Running two kessil a360x right now. I love the spectrum and shimmer. Was between this and two radion XR15s.

100% stick with Kessil. The shimmer is so nice and if you go with anything else you’ll regret it.
