“the Z6iii needs the vertical dual battery grip to comfortably get through the same afternoon event.”— r_golan_trevize on Reddit
“biggest regret was probably Z6iii (and it’s a great camera BTW)… reason being I realized at the end of the day I needed more megapixels… was doing a lot of cropping and landscapes where I wanted that fine detail and the Z6iii was solid but IMO just not enough resolution.”— Duke0716 on Reddit
“Ese tipo de pantalla abatible es una cagada, para fotografía es malísima porque pierdes el eje del sensor”— @Electronnic_fuel on YouTube
“I had a Z5 and a Z6III now, but neither has been as comfortable as the D7500 I had before.”— imnotawkwardyouare on Reddit
“In the z6iii they went back to inserting the mechanical shutter but the problem still persists. You always find a lot of them in used and this is the reason, I even demonstrated the problem and managed to get a full refund.”— No-Narwhal271 on Reddit
“they didn't on my first Z6iii. Oops!”— ml20s on Reddit
“I'm using a Z6iii and the weight balance with this body is not as good. I'm considering getting a battery grip in hopes it would improve the balance a bit”— Strangeluve on Reddit
“I have always loved my D750, but mover over to Z6iii for the technology. Killed my photography passion and now it collects dust and guilt for spending the money”— duchness9 on Reddit
“My editing software doesnt read the Z6iii format yet, so have to run my raws through adobes dng converter. That software reports most of the data as corrupted.”— Mach_Juan on Reddit
“I have the Z6iii and while the autofocus is pretty good, I find it doesn’t quite nail eyeballs and as a result things have a sense of softness. I feel like I have a LOT more misses than hits.”— mgwooley on Reddit
“If you want to sell your camera 1 month after buying, go Z6III. This coming from a guy that already bought all 3 and ended up only using the reliable FX3 for everything but photography.”— Similar-Necessary-47 on Reddit
“I’m an astrophotographer and got a Z6III initially to replace my Z6 and I can confirm there was a significant enough of a difference for me to return the Z6III and continue using my Z6.”— DanielJStein on Reddit
Not complaints — practical notes from owners that didn't affect the score.
“The Z8 is better than the Z6III, no doubts, and the price reflects that. Having said that, “100x better” may be a bit of a stretch.”— imnotawkwardyouare on Reddit
“Specifically for Nikon Z6iii, you will want to shoot at ISO 800 or 6400. Exactly 6400. These two ISO values are the native values in video mode so they are way cleaner. The values right before 6400, such as 3200, 4000 and 5000 are extremely noisy but improves at 6400.”— EXkurogane on Reddit
“I have z8 and z6iii. z8 has about 1 stop more of dynamic range in any lighting scenario (when you scale the image to the same size rather than view both at 100% which is not the right way), and you can crop twice as much in good light.”— filmsandstills_uk on Reddit
“Nikon doesnt enable USB charging by default (no idea why) double check it is turned on both my Z9 and Z6iii had to be enabled”— Panthera_014 on Reddit
“I have Z6iii and considered the Z8. In the end I decided I DIDNT want the extra MP. The size felt better in the hand but not the weight. So I added a light plate on the 6 to extend the grip a bit. The z6iii chip is newer but is only half stacked.”— rfo2050 on Reddit
“My Z6III came packed with pretty minimal protection as well, as I recall, and I didn't spot any defects. Same for my 24-120.”— mizshellytee on Reddit
“I myself got the Zf because it was much cheaper than the Z6III last year, even though I would have *very much preferred* the ergonomics and finish of the normal Z bodies”— Dariusdd on Reddit
“I compare my Z6 to Z6III and haven’t noticed any difference at all except in very extreme highlight/shadow which I probably never shoot in that situation without bracketing.”— Effect-Kitchen on Reddit
