Calphalon Premier 11-Piece Cookware Set

Based on 31 comments across 2 communities
TL;DR
Most owners are happy with this set, calling it sturdy, evenly heating, and easy to clean at a price well below premium brands like All-Clad. The recurring gripes: the nonstick coating tends to wear and food starts sticking over time, and the surface scratches easily, with a few owners warning it isn't really safe with metal utensils. For everyday home cooking it lands as a solid, good-value choice as long as it's cared for properly.

68% of 31 verified owners recommend the Calphalon Premier 11-Piece Cookware Set.

I have the premier space saving set and it’s solid stuff. Not incredible but it’s decent quality. Better than most stainless cookware but not on par with my Demeyere proline/Atlantis pieces.

Some comments from an avid home cook who has a stainless set (Calphalon Premier tri-ply, which CR slots directly between these two at an overall of 70):

Despite their marketing saying that the pots and pans are metal utensil safe, I'm pretty sure that they're not. I used a metal utensil once on one of the pans, it put a deep scratch in it, and I've never used anything metal on them since then.

The handles are the most comfortable of any set I’ve tried, but from the limited info I could find online, I’m a little more concerned about the overall quality.

Seconded. My gal and I got a Calphalon Premier set as a wedding gift and they’re incredible if properly cared for.

They're nice pots and pans, and I like the way they stack neatly in drawers or cabinets. They clean up really easily (by hand or dishwasher). That said, the non-stick surface is already showing signs of wear. I'm likely to replace with stainless steel within a year. If you're looking for BIFL, I don't recommend this set, nor non-stick in general.

I have these and EVERYTHING sticks to them.

I've had [this set](https://www.calphalon.com/cookware/cookware-by-material/nonstick-hard-anodized-cookware/calphalon-premier-hard-anodized-nonstick-frying-pan-set-10-inch-and-12-inch-frying-pans/SAP_2172316.html) of 2 skillets for 2 years and they are great!

we did end up buying a small nonstick for eggs (my husband was not down with trying to cook eggs in them it was … an ordeal) and grilled cheese sandwiches were fuckin impossible. But we love it so far!

They are thin, so if you like the all clad feel and heat distribution there is a difference but these are half the cost. I don’t mind glass lids but we noticed that water is getting trapped between the metal and glass.

My gal and I got a Calphalon Premier set as a wedding gift and they’re incredible if properly cared for. Still have older pieces of previous Calphalon cookware..still going strong.

I have some of them and they are great but it’s that edge where the pan ends that really takes the brunt of the washing and cooking.

I bought the [Calphalon Premier 10 piece](https://www.target.com/p/calphalon-premier-10pc-stainless-steel-space-saving-cookware-set/-/A-78062810) set and love them. They are heavy as all get out but heat very evenly and cook great.

I use Calphalon non-stick. It’s pretty durable. My failing is using the wrong kind of utensils for stirring, etc.

It's ok, pretty bombproof, works well on an induction range. Will not stay that pretty looking for long but will still work fine.

This stuff is insanely good. I donated decades worth of cookware and just use this now: Calphalon Premier Non-Stick Mineral Shield 12-piece Space-Saving Cookware Set.

I have this set and the lid handles get quite hot

Mostly unrelated, but I just got [these pans](https://www.calphalon.com/en-US/calphalon-premier-space-saving-hard-anodized-nonstick-10-piece-cookware-set-ca-2010637) and they are so wonderful.

i have an older version of those and they are great. not as nice as all clad i'd imagine but it's also not 230 bucks for one pan. I use the large skillet almost every time i cook and the pots have held up well.

But this \*whole set\* is good (except for the largest frying pan). We cook daily and 9/10 pieces are as good as when we bought them 10 years ago.

I’ve been using the Calphalon Premier Hard-Anodized Nonstick Cookware Set, and it's been a solid addition to my kitchen. The hard-anodized aluminum construction heats evenly and has held up well, with no warping over time.

I purchased the 2.5qt Calphalon Premier sauce pan about 3 years ago and it's been great. Heats up well, easy to handle, zero complaints.

I've used this set for six years now, and there are no signs of damage. They've survived six years of heavy use with no wear and/or tear. Each piece still looks great and functions perfectly well.

I have this set (not from Costco, though) and I’ve been very happily using it for the past 3 years. Cleans super easily, too
