Thanks to the Mavic 4 Pro's fantastic low light optics and zoom capabilities, I was able to zoom in later in the video and identify the guy.

My first Mavic 4 failed in less than 3 months (has a weird vibrating gimbal that started mid-flight out of nowhere) and I just parked it and bought another. It sucks, but it’s the risk you take with the state of the world right now.

He hit a power line and destroyed his drone.

Agree the M4 is seriously impressive. It’s the first drone I’ve owned where the photos don’t look like they came from a phone.

Reddit▼ don’t recommend

that camera on the Mavic 4 looks like a bad design as it seems to break very easily

Reddit▲ recommend

I’m amazed at the sharpness of the photos, and videos, not to mention the dynamic range and color capabilities it has!

Reddit▼ don’t recommend

I had my DJI remote shut itself down during a flight and refusing to turn back on

Reddit▲ recommend

I'm no pro but 100% agree; the results from my Mavic 4 Pro Creator Edition are absolutely stunning.

It's garbage since mavic 2

yes dji care is shit !!

Reddit▲ recommend

I’ve been using mine for about a month now, and I’m constantly stunned by the footage and photos.

Reddit▲ recommend

This is one of the main reason why I went with this drone.

Common problems & things to know

Practical notes owners raise — setup, quirks, and issues to watch for. They don't say whether the person likes the product, so they're not counted in the score, but they inform the pros, cons, and who it's for.

Some times in sport mode it turna off the obstacle avoidance as I see it's turned off its the middle button on the controller put it in normale. Hopefully this wil turn it on....

Ive been having the same issue as you. Refuses to take off. Same code. Do your motors "twitch" like its trying to start?? Mine does, then says that code and also says it lost connection

It's in the actual DJI Fly App: Profile > Settings > Firmware Update https://preview.redd.it/e0yn0btdznsg1.jpeg?width=3000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0580346da259330ea5ba7eeeca45cd32a6913b46

Boat rolling and pitching too much probably for the IMU to return data that the flight controller expects to allow take off. Try holding the drone on power up and try to mimic being a gimbal.

Redditⓘ good to know

It happened to me before. Here is the fix. Turn off your starlink. Thats it. It interferes with the wifi signal so much it will not connect. Try it. Thank me with gold 🪙

Redditⓘ good to know

I mean obviously OP wasnt spying but with Mavic 4 pro you can do 28x zoom. So it's not like it wouldn't be a possibility. I can ID people from about 1 KM out on clear weather with the Mavic 3

This too had something to do with a lack of connection, but I don't fully understand. Any 101 resources about GPS/ ATTI/ full connection/ initialization are appreciated!

Redditⓘ good to know

I didn’t know this, thanks. I’ve had no trouble flying over water, but I always do it manually. So the sensors overestimate the distance, or they don’t work at all?

Redditⓘ good to know

Someone else mentioned metal interference, that appears to be the best answer. The fact that you are in the middle of the ocean makes it more complicated

Redditⓘ good to know

Not related, but you have experience flying drones from moving ships right? Because it will be an expensive seashell fast if you don't.

I have the mavic 4 pro and when I read this, I was a bit alarmed but upon reading your interpretation of the log data, his “crash” made total sense. I don’t know why anyone would take off without having satellites fully connected.

Redditⓘ good to know

Mine had a lot of problems until I signed into the DJI fly app and connected my drone to it. Can you connect it to the internet ?

Redditⓘ good to know

Are you moving? I has this same problem during Sailing and we Werę moving forward. I had to force take off despite this error

Redditⓘ good to know

This almost happened with my Mavic 4 Pro. At the time I quickly realised it was active track that was making it go weird.

Redditⓘ good to know

Disable obstacle avoidance but the downward sensors are on which assist the drone to hover so accurately in position as well as a sensor for accurate height sensing at lower altitudes. Flying low against water seems to affect this infared sensor.

Redditⓘ good to know

You updated the controller firmware but did you update the fly app as well? Also, I had to download 2 separate DJI assistant programs. 1 for the controller and one for the drone. Maybe make sure the assistant app is able to connect to both devices.

Redditⓘ good to know

You need DJI assistant but I believe it’s PC only. I got that error once and needed assistant to get rid of it.

Redditⓘ good to know

Active track: full auto mode, over water? Honestly, that's just asking for something bad to happen.

Redditⓘ good to know

Tried it once in some very calm water with a little wind. Never again. Landing is ssssstressful.

Redditⓘ good to know

It could be that you’re in a no fly zone or restricted air space that’s preventing you from launching. Since everything is updated with firmware and your Sensors are calibrated, (Compass, IMU) Then most like it’s a restricted area. Other than, The Drone could be faulty.

Redditⓘ good to know

The Error 30064 – Unable to take off on the DJI Mavic 4 Pro usually appears when the drone detects that you are in a restricted or geofenced area (like near airports, military zones, or other no-fly zones). In these zones, DJI blocks takeoff for safety and legal reasons.

Redditⓘ good to know

Some folks mentioned boat electronics and star link interference have you tested on land?

Redditⓘ good to know

I would double check. Im pretty sure there are parts of the ocean you cant fly over. Also, sometimes with updates I have noticed if I do the check it doesnt say anything but if I leave the drone on for a little bit and then do a check it works (assuming there is an update).

Damn, man, I'm sorry to hear about your M4P. I just got mine in a few days ago and also made a bonehead decision. I was showboating the object detection to a friend and was pointing to one of the cameras when I was cut with the blade! It nearly cut the tip of my dick off...
