Jabra Elite 8 Active Gen 2

Based on 140 comments across 3 communities
TL;DR
Owners overwhelmingly call these the best earbuds they've tried for staying put through workouts, runs, and sweaty sessions, and they love how rugged and waterproof they are for showers, rain, and even the sauna. Most also find them comfortable for long wear, with good sound and solid noise cancellation. The most common gripes are a low-level hiss or static some hear with ANC on, plus a sense that sound and ANC don't quite match pricier rivals.

66% of 140 verified owners recommend the Jabra Elite 8 Active Gen 2.

I bought the first generation of the elite 8 actives and have since then owned 2 pairs both of wich didn't even last a year.

I had the same with Jabra elite active 8 gen 2. What they don't have in common is ( they are fcking fantastic for gym and running and actually most stuff)

I prefer the Elite 8s overall due to the customization and ease-of-use but their audio isn’t as good and Jabra is exiting the earbud market at the end of this year.

I use Jabra Elite 8s( I think 8) and the album sounds incredible on them. They generally great earbuds with active noise cancellation. Highly recommend

the Elite 8 Active was also very comfortable. My main priority though is sound quality and Gen 1 was weaker than my Soundcore earbuds.

Had a pair of Jabra Elite 8 Active and they were a disappointment and let down. Returned them and got these Jlab buds.

I have this same exact issue on my left Elite 8 Active earbud! I've contacted support since mine are slightly less than a year old, but glad to see I'm not alone in this weird problem... Other than this I've loved the experience

ive showered with those a fair bit,the case by itself is actually more water resistant then the jibs are and the earbuds are ip68 so as resistant to dust and water as a modern smartphone and could survive full immersion up to 5 feet for 30 minutes without harm.

the stock tips are super hard and don't form a good seal for me either.

Jabra Elite 8 Active - liked the app controls for settings, liked the bud controls, did not like the isolation

Reddit▲ recommend

the Jabra elite 8 active have been awesome for me. 80% of the anc of QC 2s, 100% of the sound quality imo. Also they fit super deep into the ear canal, so they never ever fall out.

I just tried to upgrade to the Jabra Elite 8 Active Gen 2s, and while they're still pretty good, they're slightly worse in sound quality and noticeably worse in picking up my voice during calls.

they were really comfortable, had great ANC once you get the right eartips, and have the best controls.

I purchased the Elite 8 after the Jabra technician recommended them after saying they couldn’t repair my 4 year old 75t. They’re shit. Literally listened for 5 minutes and boxed them up for return.

I own a pair of Jabra Elite 8 Active Gen 2 and love them. Low profile. Sits comfortable in ear. And if you work out and don’t prefer the hook style earbuds. Then these are perfect

I own the Jabra Elite 8 Active Gen 2 and they sound great, are comfortable, have good noise isolation and stay stable. They're the first earbuds that don't work their way out my ears.

I bought the jabra elite 8 active and although comfy the ANC is non existent with good sound quality. Unfortunately i returned because of the ANC issue.

Their ANC is decent but others have better. Same for sound quality - pretty good not best-in-class.

a big fucking but, elite 8 active doesn't have a good sound quality. That is for sure.

I had never considered jabra, but ended up getting the Elite 8 Active. I’m actually very impressed with the sound, comfort, build quality, and app. Nice neutral sound that’s easy to EQ.

Reddit▼ don’t recommend

The jabra active elite 8 gen 2 were trash and the biggest letdown out of my vast search, and I mean vast search. Nothing about that particular earbud (JAE8G2) is good, other than the fact of how rugged it's "supposed to be."

My Jabra Elite 8 Active are less than two months old. I'll be returning them then if you have no information as to the cause of this.

Reddit▲ recommend

I love the Jabra Elite Active Gen 2. Very good ANC, easy to use, but the main reason is that they are rugged. Totally waterproof, you can shower with them. Sleep with them.

As for the bass, it is pretty much the same with the Elite 10, worse than the 8s
