Breville Sous Chef Pro BFP800XL

Based on 13 comments across 1 community
TL;DR
Owners overwhelmingly love the Breville Sous Chef Pro for its sheer power and versatility, using it for everything from nut butters and pizza dough to grating, pesto, and hummus, and many report years of reliable service. The main trade-offs are the high price, the heavy and bulky footprint, and the number of parts to clean. A few owners noted the bowl cracking after a few years, so durability isn't flawless, but most find it well worth keeping on the counter.

85% of 13 verified owners recommend the Breville Sous Chef Pro BFP800XL.

a breville sous chef food processor, an anova sous vide, an all clad immersion blender, and some really nice all clad utensils for a total of $920.

It also rivals the $550 Breville Sous Chef, which is an absolute beast in power but also a beast in terms of size. I got that for my mom and ended up returning it because it was overkill and not worth the price imo

my vessel cracked after about three years - not dropped and always hand washed. There are no exceptions to the warranty period. I have since seen a LOT of similar experiences from other users.

Much faster than mixer for pizza dough and allegedly taste better do to less oxidation. I switched a few years ago and will never go back. I use the breville sous chef 16 pro.

From my time with it, it's also been pretty reliable and robust so far - no issues yet (fingers cross). It's also really easy to clean, so that's another bonus.

I also have Breville Sous Chef 16 pro that I use all the time. I can’t recommend the Breville enough. It’s a food processor that does it all.

We have a Breville Sous Chef Pro 16 Cup food processor and use it regularly for making nut butters and pesto. Do note the base is very heavy but if you’re going to keep it on the counter this shouldn’t be an issue for you.

I'm also incredibly happy with the sous chef, i use it to grate cheese regularly, grate vegetables, make pestos, black bean brownies, hummus (also could be done in vitamix), almond butter/peanut butter, fillings for dumplings, mincing vegetables, etc.

I've got the Breville Sous Chef Pro 16 Cup Food Processor. It's amazing!

I bought a Breville BFP800XL Sous Chef 16 Pro Food Processor this summer. It was on the very pricey side for my taste, but it works beautifully. The model I picked out has a large container and a smaller container that fits inside for low volume recipes. I specifically picked it out for its size and processing power

I've had it for three years and it's been great. No complaints. Sometimes I wish it were easier to clean, but it can do a lot of work.

This unit on the other hand, my parents have an older version of this model that’s approx 30 years old and going strong.
