I owned the 27GR95QE for a year and the PG27UCDM blows that monitor away in every single metric it’s truly night and day in my experience

Yea you "get used to it" but it still reveals itself against your will randomly. The clarity is noticeably lower and in gaming when you track things moving across the screen you see the bumpy matte that it's moving under, at that point you aren't immersed in the game anymore. Fuck matte.

I had an LG 27GR95QE-B, and even with the firmware update, it was unimpressive to put it lightly. Plus, 1440p on a 27" display isn't that great for pixel density.

I actually just told them that my 27GR95QE-B had burn in and used my Geek Squad Protection. Then swapped it for the LG 39GS95QE. Very very happy with it. The brightness on the 27GR95QE-B was awful.

I have the GR as one of my secondary monitors and I wouldn’t recommend it even for the price. It’s got a very heavy matte grain and uses a first gen panel.

Now, six hours of fiddling later, I'm about ready to return the damn thing. The banding on dark content and ABL dimming on light content are driving me up a wall.

does it have a fan like the 27GR95QE? I have it and it's awful and I've decided that my next OLED will not have a fan, because it's ridiculous that a monitor fan is the loudest thing in a quiet room.

I recently bought the LG 27GR95QE-B, which is a 1440p OLED monitor. When it came to image quality I was pretty disappointed but I was probably expecting too much.
christryhard on Reddit
For me 27GR95QE-B didn’t have gray uniformity issues post calman calibration. Poor SDR brightness on the other hand in a very sunny room was the deal breaker.

I had the LG monitor from 2023 (27GR95QE-B) and I returned it: the gloss was annoying, way too dim, text looked horrendous and the colors never looked right.
insanekoz on Reddit
I would personally not recommend the 27GR95QE. It has very low brightness especially in HDR and its coating makes the whole experience way more grey and washed out.

I found any amount of desktop use gave me serious buyers remorse with the LG. Due to other QC issues with that specific monitor after trying 2 I sent it back for a refund.

Not complaints — practical notes from owners that didn't affect the score.

Seeing very little difference between performance and fidelity. Maybe slight softer edges but I barely notice it when I'm running around and it's not noticeable during dialog scenes

When they flicker, I turn off VRR on 27GR95QE using the remote. One example is Diablo IV. I have never observed any tearing or other difference except it isn't flickering anymore.

When I first upgraded to the LG 27GR95QE (from an MSI G273QF, IPS), it kept giving me headaches for 2 days but after that, no more. Guess there's still an adaptation period.
doomed151 on Reddit
I actually got a bit eye strain from the 27GR95QE-B when I first started using it which uses a matte coating but it went away after a day or two.
Vulcan_000 on Reddit
On my LG 27GR95QE, I see those horizontal lines too. Turning the refresh rate up to 240 Hz seems to diminsh the appearance of those lines.

I do have a window and I lower the brightness because even 100 nits is too bright. (semi-glossy 27GR95QE)

I have the 27gr95qe-b. It does the same shit. It's the same issue.

I have a the LG 27GR95QE-B and leave HDR on.
