Fellow Stagg EKG Kettle: I mean, it looks nice, sure. But my first one had a defective base that required email after email after email to convince the company to activate my warranty. Just get the Bonavita. It does the same thing and is often on sale.

I have the Fellow Stagg EKG version and there's some kind of flow limiter in the gooseneck, it's genuinely slow to fill up gaiwans and stuff. Corvo would have been a better choice, in hindsight

Maybe controversial opinion, but I *hate* the Fellow Stagg EKG I got and I feel silly for having spent so much on it. I hate it so much that it has left a bad taste in my mouth about Fellow as a brand. Their grinders live up to your expectations? I haven't looked at Rancilio at all.

They all have a rim but the only kettle that I have an issue with completely emptying the kettle for drying is the Stagg. If I want to dry it completely I have to turn it upside down and dab the rim with a paper towel.

The Stagg is quieter and I think more attractive, but it heats slower, pours painfully slower (17.44ml/s max pour vs 35.71ml/s for the bonavita), and has issues with the feedback loop when it gets near temperature.
Darklyte on Reddit
Fellow Stagg EKG doesn't stop boiling when reaching 212 degrees F, hold isn't on, just randomly started, about 4 months old with very minimal usage, doesn't seem to be any issues with the connections, but the lid does feel like it's on looser.

> Fellow Stagg EKG Just get a normal kettle from an established brand or buy a cheap one. Fellow are great at making products but not great at making products that last.

I own a Fellow Corvo EKG and a Fellow Stagg EKG, as well as a few other fellow products. Fellow’s electronic products have notoriously poor quality control. I’ve had an issue with one of my Staggs and with my Ode Gen 2 grinder.

I have a Fellow Stagg EKG which I originally bought for pour-over coffees. It’s a bit annoying to use for tea so I would recommend getting the Corvo over the Stagg

I had a Fellow Stagg EKG, it broke down after about 1.5 years (voltage fluctuations at my house damaged the main IC board)

I bought the Fellow Stagg EKG pouring kettle, got frustrated because it was too slow for normal kettle duties, like filling the robot basket, so I returned it for the Fellow Corvo instead.

I have a Fellow Stagg EKG kettle. To be honest, I am a little disappointed with its build quality considering the price, the PID controller is also not very accurate (even at sea level). But out of all the kettles out there it does look the best.

I have a Fellow Stagg EKG kettle (it’s got a gooseneck spout because I also make pourover coffee with it, I’ve seen it for £125.)

Over the past ten years I’ve gone through two Bonavitas, a Brewista, a Fellow Stagg EKG, and I’m on my second Fellow Stagg

I grind on a Comandante while the Fellow Stagg EKG is heating up (a kettle I've found to be much slower than my previous Breville general use kettle).
Dangerous-Hour6062 on Reddit
I personally own a Fellow Stagg EKG kettle, but it’s a coffee-minded kettle and no other sane American would spend $150 on one.

The difference is quite dramatic. The kettle that I have is a Fellow Stagg EKG that costs around 15k to 18k. I definitely wouldn't recommend buying this kettle very early on in your coffee journey as it is quite a commitment. I, too, got it after 3 years.

I have had that happen before. I normally just power cycle the kettle and it's fine.

I have one of these that stopped heating.
