Positive Grid Spark 2

Based on 92 comments across 1 community
TL;DR
Owners love the Spark 2 for its enormous range of tones, easy app-driven tone shaping, and its all-in-one practice setup with a looper, Bluetooth speaker, and battery power. The flip side is a buggy app and firmware, hardware reliability complaints from a notable minority, and stock tones that lean bassy and need EQ work. It earns its place as a fun, flexible home and practice amp, but it isn't trouble-free for everyone.

46% of 92 verified owners recommend the Positive Grid Spark 2.

On my laptop one of the USB ports doesn't recognize the Spark2, the other works

the Spark 2 which had many issues that were eventually fixed through firmware updates... it clearly wasn't ready for prime time when it first rolled out their doors

I recommend the Spark2. It will give you better audio quality and flexibility

the 2 is still pretty bassy

the noise I'm hearing is not a common characteristic of amps. It took me 3 seconds and two strums through the amp to hear it

it works as you're asking for IF you don't transfer the "recommended" settings to the ControlX and use it factory default. At least with Spark2

I bought a Positive Grid Spark 2 which is a fantastic practice amp as it sounds great, has various built-in practice features, and can sound like anything you desire.

Spark2 is still toy sounding, with its 4" speakers, and I personally think the Yamaha THRs sound better

I actually did end up going with the Positive Grid Spark 2. And actually bought their pedal and wireless guitar system

The looper on the spark2 sounds like it’s recorded on a toy, and the jam stuff barely works

that sound pretty good for an all digital amp, but like a lot of digital amps it’s kinda noisy when you go high gain

I love messing with tones on my spark2 amp. I spend afternoons just learning and seeing what I can do with it and what tones I can make

Electric with a Spark2 Amp. I find the electric easier to play than an acoustic and the Spark amp covers a lot of sounds easily

i have been having an issue with my Spark2 where the power button wouldn’t turn the amp on

We play some loud shit, and it can cut through the mix on its own. However the sound is a bit boxy on that loudness

It works pretty good for now but I also hope they will keep coming with updates to improve functionality

I recently bought a Spark2 and the ability to swap tones with a tap of the table is amazing and has resparked my interest

I have Spark2 but don’t have a Spark40 but I guess for me it would depend on what your ultimate goal is

Reddit▲ recommend

you also have the looper and ability to use the positive grid battery. For the difference in price it’s a no brainer

Reddit▼ don’t recommend

The spark2’s looper sounds tinny and hollow, like it’s recorded on a cheap mic
