Dyson Supersonic Nural

Based on 15 comments across 1 community
TL;DR
Owners overwhelmingly love the Dyson Supersonic Nural for how fast it dries hair and how much definition and shine the bowl diffuser brings to curls, all while being gentle enough for fine or damage-prone hair. The big drawbacks are the steep price (around $600) and the fact that the smart heat-sensing features switch off when the diffuser is attached, leaving a few owners feeling it's only a marginal upgrade over the standard Supersonic. For most, though, it earns its keep and they have no regrets.

87% of 15 verified owners recommend the Dyson Supersonic Nural.

I just got the nural dryer and cannot get a gel cast anymore. What am I missing? It was no problem to get the cast set with my bowl style diffuser on my old babyliss pro… but that dryer creates way more frizz than the nural.

I got the nural and it wasn’t worth the extra money, I wish I got the regular supersonic. Like you said, the nural features don’t work with the diffuser or wide tooth comb. The only feature that works is the memory of your settings, but I typically change my settings towards the end of my drying routine, so the memory doesn’t help me because I have to reset

I upgraded from the airwrap diffuser attachment to the Nural. The door/bowl makes a significant difference for definition. I personally, I prefer more volume though and a less defined look

I have the nural and I LOVE IT!!! I have mid length 2c/3a high porosity curls. I can get my hair 99% dry in like 10/15 mins depending on the setting I use. My curls come out looking more defined and voluminous

I just got a nural for my birthday and my hair is dry in around 15minutes, compared to the 30-40 my old standard dryer was, so I've noticed a huge difference. I do have fine hair though, so not sure if that makes a difference

Boy do I love this thing! Air drying before would take 5 hours, cheap hair dryer would take 50 mins, now my hair is dry in about 15.

I bought a Dyson Nural and love it. For reference my hair is fine and wavy, and very delicate in terms of breakage, so I needed something that would be gentle. I was previously using a Babyliss Pro, which caused some heat related damage.

I just bought the nural and the bowl diffuser is amazing. Not only dries fast but my curls are shining, no frizz as well.

I debated a lot on this one and ended up with the Nural. Pricey but no regrets. The diffuser is great. The bowl alone sucks air in way it can help the curl. The finger diffuser is your usual diffuser but a nice shape that can still cup the hair well.

I have the nural and honestly it’s the best $600 I spent my hair is dry in 15-20 min

I decided recently to upgrade my diffuser to the new Nural bowl/diffuser and it’s - the bowl kind of twirls your hair round as you put it in and it definitely makes my hair more defined and more curly. It makes refreshing my hair super easy too! The flatter attachment that goes in the bowl directs the air to the roots and helps with volume.

I bought the nural to replace it. The nural works great and the one feature I really love is removing the fingers part of the diffuser and using the cup to dry my ends. When the stars align and I use the right amount of product with the just right wetness of my hair I get better curls using this part of the diffuser than I ever have before. Well worth it.

I have the Nural and it’s an awesome dryer. I do have one HUGE issue with it however. I have long thick hair and for me the diffuser isn’t big enough. I find myself reaching for my Curlsmith one because of the diffuser size. If Dyson made a bigger diffuser it would be incredible. As it stands, it can only diffuser a VERY small section of my hair at a time .
