Affiliate blogs here say 100% recommend, while the owner-based score is 68%. They earn a commission on every sale — so we show them for transparency but never let them move the score.

The headline score reflects owners (Reddit, enthusiast forums), independent lab tests, blogs with no affiliate links, and YouTube owner-comments when they line up with owners. YouTube and Affiliate blogs are shown for perspective but kept out here — hover the i for why.

What owners like
  • Exceptional detail retrieval and treble clarity that owners call 'detail beast' or 'detail monster' territory, with resolution and technical ability well above the asking price · 7 · 21%
  • Strong value at the roughly $200 price point, with several owners saying they can't find anything better in that range or picked one up as a steal secondhand · 6 · 18%
  • Comfortable, secure fit for many wearers thanks to the smaller shell size, with some calling it the best-fitting IEM in their collection · 5 · 15%
  • Becomes a daily go-to or all-time favorite for many owners, displacing other sets (Dunu SA6 MK2, Moondrop Blessing 2, Blessing 3) as their reference or default listen · 5 · 15%
  • Engaging, 'fun' sound signature with punchy bass and emotive vocals that owners describe as making old music feel new again · 3 · 9%
What owners flag
  • Treble is too bright, shouty, or fatiguing for a meaningful minority, described as harsh, aggressive, or exhausting especially for treble-sensitive listeners · 8 · 24%
  • Long nozzles cause fit discomfort for some, with a few owners reporting sore ears after extended wear or even returning the unit over it · 5 · 15%
  • Bass described as imprecise or anemic, sometimes bleeding into the mids and leaving vocals sounding veiled or thin · 4 · 12%
  • Soundstage and imaging inconsistency reported by some, calling it narrow or unpredictable rather than the wide stage others praise · 3 · 9%
Who it's for
A great fit if
  • Detail-chasers who want a technical, resolving IEM at a mid-range price
  • Treble/fun-tuning fans who enjoy a spicy, energetic upper-end signature
  • Buyers with small-to-average ear sizes who prioritize a secure, comfortable fit
  • Gamers and all-around listeners wanting one versatile daily-driver IEM
Look elsewhere if
  • Treble-sensitive listeners, since the upper end reads shouty, harsh, or fatiguing to many
  • Bass-forward listeners, as several owners call the low end imprecise or lacking
  • Buyers with larger ears or fit sensitivity, given complaints about long nozzles and poor venting

the treble does stand out from the other elements.

Impressive they could squeeze that many driver techs into a well fitting and sounding IEM.

The quintets feel like an empty hype train to me.

YouTube▼ don’t recommend

Quintet hasn't made me switch from Tea2

after the first few listens I can agree with them being a tad bit too aggressive, however, after swapping the cable I find them more manageable.

YouTube▲ recommend

It is much much more brilliant than what the graph would seem to indicate. Trust me.

i have tested this, treble is spicy, not recommend for people who treble sensitive...

YouTube▲ recommend

but for $200, it really is an amazing IEM that I listen to all the time.

YouTube▼ don’t recommend

I bought it when it launched and was quite disappointed. The bass is imprecise and bleeds into the mids, the highs sound sometimes artificial, the soundstage is narrow

YouTube▼ don’t recommend

Unfortunately this set has a harsh tremble and metallic timbre as a byproduct.

I have the Timeless and the Quintet. They are both enjoyable, but the Quintet made all my old music new again. No switches or filters. A more refined and cohesive presentation. Couldn't recommend them enough.

I can't think of a better IEM for this price though.

YouTube▼ don’t recommend

That aggressive treble is a dealbreaker for me.

YouTube▲ recommend

This iem really is something special! That high end is just Wow! Great bass, details galore, good separation.

The Quintet is really nice even though it is slightly bright and intense for me in the upper midrange and the treble.

I really like the look of this one. Seems a little overpriced though for its sound.

YouTube▲ recommend

I was going to snag some Heydays but since these dropped I've changed my mind lol

YouTube▼ don’t recommend

Oddly their Cadenza is better than both (IMHO)

I have a few quibbles with fit and finish, but the sound is fantastic.

YouTube▲ recommend

the Quintets are absolute monsters for gaming, and they've quickly become my default set for that and most music.

YouTube▼ don’t recommend

Well its not even better that a p1max.

I like that the Quintet has a chin slider but using it tends to affect the braiding of the wires in my experience.

YouTube▲ recommend

The Quintet is one of those IEM’s that you need to have in your repertoire.

Reddit▼ don’t recommend

Honestly, I don't like the Quintet, have listened to them a few times, then decided they are not for me. Bass is imprecise, bleeds over mids, imaging is sometimes inconsistent.

I just got my quintet and my epz g10. That g10 is quite the package for $40 wow. Listening to quintet now…..well watching YouTube with them in lol.

I have been using my Onkyo DAC-HA200 so far as a desktop/portable amp. I tried the Quintet with a Samsung smartphone and dongle. Bass behaves a bit better and volume is more than enough at the normal level. I would say it is easier to drive than the B3!

Looking forward to receiving mine in a few days, and comparing it to my Orchestra Lite and Performer 5!
