Citizen Promaster Diver BN0150

Based on 88 comments across 4 communities
TL;DR
Owners overwhelmingly love this as a rugged, grab-and-go daily diver with excellent lume, spot-on Eco-Drive accuracy, and unbeatable value. The most common gripe is the stock rubber strap, which many find stiff and too long until it's broken in. A smaller number note the 44mm case wears large or bulky for thinner wrists, and a few flag a sharp edge on the underside of the case/bezel that can dig into the wrist.

89% of 88 verified owners recommend the Citizen Promaster Diver BN0150.

the BN0150 swamps my wrist. It’s 44mm btw, & is massive on me regardless of what anyone says about it wearing like a 42mm watch.

That Citizen is criminally underrated. It’s a complete watch. No modding/upgrades needed. It’ll serve you a lifetime with zero maintenance.

The Citizen has a rather sharp edge to the bottom of the case. It digs into my wrist when doing anything athletic.

I chose the blue, and yet just sold it. Just wasn't getting worn enough with my other watches. Great watch though.

I owned this watch for several years and it is still one of my favourites!

the bezel action and the second-hand is perfect. There is a teeny tiny bit of up and down bezel play but nothing annoying. However the bottom watch strap kind of looks dirty

As to the bezel i dont like the wide numbering it looks stretched horizontally which makes it just odd looking.

Bought and traded off a black one. I like blue but the weight and thickness would likely get tiresome just like the black.

My favourite watch in my collection. History, originality, simplicity, durability, wears well, and so affordable most people could own two.

the underside edge of the bezel is exposed between the lugs, and it is knife-edge sharp. Once I found that I returned it.

in some indoor lighting the blue is kind of subdued.

I've been wearing the blue version for about 7 months now- I don't think I have had to change the time yet- very accurate for me. I love the orange minute hand, as my eye picks it up instantly

The lume on my Promaster lasts all night if it's charged it's definitely not mediocre.

instantly returned it. Super disappointing watch. Felt like a cheap toy.

The stock strap is stiff and hard to break in tho.

I wanted to mention one thing that I don't think you highlighted enough. The legibility. I wear glasses and with those big chunky hands, I can read the time with no glasses when I wake up groggily at 4am with ease, yet the needle points also give the accuracy that you want in full sunlight with glasses on. The lume is out of this world.

Slowly becoming my favourite watch and my favourite brand! Great quality, great QC, lume and the Eco-drive is slowly pushing me from automatics towards quartz lately. Just an amazing watch!

I’ve had one of these for two years now. It’s been through two separate fire academy’s and it accompanies me on every shift (Firefighter/EMT). She’s been beat up and put through the ringer but she keeps on going.

These are sleeper hit watches. I have this same blue model. Purchased from Jomashop a few months ago. I wear it nearly every day. It’s just a no nonsense watch with a diving heritage and carries the ISO dive rating, so it’s a legit diver.

It's been on my wrist everyday for 17 months. I love it !!

I'm actually wearing my blue Promaster right now! A great watch for the price.

the Promaster is my favorite watch because it’s simply the best. It will tell near perfect time forever with no service needed.

I own the blue one , I dive ; this is what I wear underwater . The watch also offered in three other colors ( red , white and green ) but the blue one is the prettiest of all five .

I have the Blue version, I am amazed on the value. I love wearing it and looks great on many strap options. Just buy it.
