“Sony sound terrible by default. For whatever reason their XM overear lineup has always been tuned muddy. But you can mostly fix it with the in app settings. They have better ANC.”

“I have used my 1000-xm3 for 3 years in the gym, and they handled fine. I only upgraded to the xm6 because I wanted better ANC. I have had no issues with cardio or weights.”

“I love them at work bc I take calls, use hear through, control them by touch etc. They sound OK if you EQ them. My 10yo 100usd ATH-A550z blows them out of the water for sound quality.”

“Out of the box, the XM6 bass felt a bit tighter and less boomy than the XM4. But with a slight EQ boost, it honestly sounds better deeper and more controlled. So yeah, EQ totally made up for it!!”

“The only difference I’ve noticed is comfort from the headband (just a little better), and maybe better noise cancelling. I probably would have kept my xm4 over buying the xm6.”

“The solution of just connecting to the mac's microphone is not that good because we paid $450 for an awesome noise canceling headphone which enhances your voice during calls.”

“After putting the new earpads, all of my issues with the XM6 were fixed. They now have 5 star comfort, great noise cancellation (even in noisy subways) and more consistent sound quality.”

“the M50s are simply better in terms of sound quality. I'm kinda disappointed I get like 90% of the sound quality of the M50s but at least you get a much more complete package”

“I did this after mine broke. Just superglued the hinge and reinforced with nylon and acrylic to keep it from breaking again. The hinge just broke one day without warning”
