“Recordings stop at 30 seconds, regardless of whether activity is still going on. This is a major flaw! Burglars can simply intentionally, strategically trigger the camera, see the blue light, and wait 30 seconds until it goes out before entering your property! This is with a new Ring Stick Up Cam Battery purchased in December 2019.”— grolschie on Reddit
“I am not going to pay the subscription fee as it is outrageous”— @greyhaircapitan on YouTube
“Most these features are now behind a paywall when they were free for self monitoring. Greedy company.”— @iMizter on YouTube
Not complaints — practical notes from owners that didn't affect the score.
“I don't have any that are wall mounted to make it easy to change batteries. I have them sitting on top of things but you should be able to wall mount them without any issues. I would suggest getting an extra battery or two with a dual charger if you have multiple cameras. It takes hours to charge a battery and you don't want a security cam out of action that”— Famous-Perspective-3 on Reddit
