I have the sonos arc ultra, Sub 4, and 2 era 300s. No regrets, just pure awesomeness. Adding the 300s was such an improvement. But the ultra itself was no slacker.

I love my Arc Ultra, but it's not perfect at all. The money i spend is a lot for a system that can't always handle voices and the score at the same time clearly. That's a BIG problem.

In all the rooms we tested it in, we noticed the original arc’s front l/r left channels to give much better width. The ultra’s l/r channels sounded like they were only coming from the bar directly not reflecting.

the ultra is at least 2.5x better and worth the money. I took a long time comparing them both … and honestly the old doesn’t compare to the new. The sound is extraordinary.. deep, crystal etc

The Sonos Arc Ultra sounds much better than two HomePods for movies and TV shows. But not as good for music.

I tested a Sonos Arc Ultra and I wasn't satisfied: the central channel was too present and I didn't find the dialogue natural enough. Music-wise it didn't suit me either

The Sonos Arc ultra really does not sound impressive through the Apple TV but it shines with the Firestick.

Just grabbed the arc ultra with 2 era 300s and the gen 4 sub for Black Friday.. absolutely blown away and can’t get enough of this setup!!

It's been about a month plus since I upgraded to the Sonos Arc Ultra and I have noticed that my speakers has been emitting this loud "spark" or "pop" sound when watching certain types of content.

I had the Sonos Arc Ultra with sub gen 3 and I was not impressed for 1700$. I got the Q990D for 950$ and it's been better for everything imo

I have the Bose Ultra and prefer it to Sonos Arc Ultra but again no HDMI in or DTS.

Picked up an Ultra, 2 era 300s and a Sub 4 because of this video and it sounds AMAZING!

I have extra large great room and went with Arc (later upgraded to Arc Ultra), dual Gen 3 subs, and Fives as surrounds.

I’m pretty sure many of them are better than a Sonos Arc Ultra standalone soundbar. It will always sound so much better with rear speakers.

the sound bar is great for movies and imo not nearly as good for music - its ok sort of - for casual listening but its nowhere close for critical listening as you get with a dedicated two channel system

The biggest flaw with my Sonos arc ultra was it was too quiet. I didn’t notice that much of a difference from the arc and arc ultra.

The Acr Ultra by it self is an absolte steal for what it can do alone.

the dialogue is clean and you can understand almost everything you throw at it - the sound to me is of one piece and enveloping - im not as critical when i watch movies or tv shows - but im a lot more critical when listening to music - the arc ultra is not for critical music listening

The Ultra by itself has decent bass and the Gen4 didn't add much except a lot of additional cost IMO. Since the Ultra was only minimally better than the primary bar on my Samsung Q990B and lacked the true surround speakers of the Samsung I felt I was degrading my listening experience. Not having any additional HDMI ports just made the situation worse.

Bought my Ultra and sub 4 back in Dec 2024. Saved up and bought the dual 300s in Feb 2025. Been enjoying the setup very very much.

Used to have the ultimate immersive set from Sonos with Sonos Arc Ultra Era 300 and Sub but liked the Sennheiser better.

I’ve owned the new Sonos Arc Ultra, 300’s and sub, and think the 990D still gets the slight edge performance wise.

I have the Arc Ultra with a sub mini and two Era 300s for rears. Sonos ftw

Setup was not the "breeze" they promised. Wifi would not connect until I brought out an old phone and tried to run the app on that. It finally connected. Getting Amazon Alexa to work and then to have Alexa be able to play Amazon Music was a huge pain. Seriously, it took HOURS! The reviews for the latest Sonos app are abysmal. Check out the reviews on
