Ninja Foodi DualZone XL AF400

Based on 46 comments across 3 communities
TL;DR
Dual baskets cook fast and crisp with easy cleanup, and the dehydrate and Smart Finish functions earn praise. Recurring gripes: loud operation, baskets that don't seat firmly, and reports of units dying after about a year.

59% of 46 verified owners recommend the Ninja Foodi DualZone XL AF400.

I just found that the drawer capacity in the 2 zone fryer was too small for my needs.

my basket number one started to melt

Bare det faktum at maden er færdig hurtigere og maskinen er 10x nemmere at rengøre gør den alle pengene værd.

I’m 50/50 on it tho mostly due to the amount of time I keep seeing it takes

I loved it. Unfortunately, on the 18th of December, it just shit itself and won't power back up, Ninja has, however, been great, and a new one is on its way.

Its fresken game changer for me.

Reddit▼ don’t recommend

1) the back melted even though it was not particularly close to the wall 2) It died 14 months after we got it - just completely dead - not lights nothing - apparently a common issue

Theres something on all the insides of the airfryer and I cant for the love of Jesus get it out. I tried cleaning very thoroughly, It just will not come off.

We find that the food does appear to cook and tastes better than just chucking into our oven, and being dual zone means its a bit easier to cook 2 things

I´d recommend the AF400, I have it myself and think it´s worth it

Reddit▼ don’t recommend

There's certainly no upside to the Ninja that I can really think of.

I actually do use the dehydrator function and it works great

the dial frequently doesn't light up so you don't know what your settings are

Wish it had and easier way to get food out.

Reddit▼ don’t recommend

Baskets aren't firm when placed in so I guess it's defective

YouTube▲ recommend

The smart finish works awesome every time for me.

Reddit▼ don’t recommend

So as you can probably guess, I DO NOT recommend the Ninja.

Reddit▲ recommend

the difference is stark, it cooks stuff so much faster and crispier, having the two drawers is transformative for being able to fit loads more in, it’s quieter and so far no coating peeling.

twenty minutes it’s ready happy days.

We have the dual zone. Happy with the cooking, but be gentle - if you bang the baskets around, the handles can crack. Four stars for that; not quite as sturdy as this house with a 5 year old would like.

I bought one of these and returned it after 1 use. It doesn't actually air fry. It took 3x the time it was supposed to to cook some frozen fries, and they still weren't crispy.

my Ninja af400 is still going strong after 2 years now
