Um-- it's no joke. At first, I was a little disappointed that it wasn't kicking on automatically while I was cooking since reviewers mentioned that a lot but then I realized I wasn't really cooking the types of foods that produce strong odors. It DOES seem to ramp up into it's higher filtering modes (from the eco mode) whenever my bird starts to preen, thus

Build quality is solid for a $160 purifier. The plastic housing does not feel premium, but it is well-assembled.

If this had an actual carbon pellet filter and all the lights turn off, I would highly consider this product.

My only complaint is unit vibration when on fan speed 3. Not bad, but noticeable.

I just bought [this one](https://cowaymega.com/products/coway-airmega-200m) and it gets very mad at me when I dab, but the couple upstairs hasn't complained of smells.

And it doesn't seem to be helping at all with pet odor/litterbox odor.

While the perforated holes on the Airmega 300 are quite premium, the gray front plate of the Airmega 200M makes it cheap and unreliable.

They should make this with a pellet carbon filter

this model is actually an improvement over the mighty and looks great!

When set to high, it emits a noise that measures up to 59.5 decibels, which we found to be distracting and somewhat annoying.

It works wonders. Cleared out the funk my renters left downstairs in less than 24 hours (old house, very little air vent).

The 200 was much louder than my Coway-1512HH..

If you can get it that price, then it is the way to go.

It is indeed the AP-1512 which is fantastic

Im happy with this, although I paid $119 when I bought it. Nearly silent on the regular setting, and it gets more powerful when it detects a problem. I know it works because whenever I cook it starts blasting.

I'm actually glad cuz for the past 3 hours since I plugged it in, it’s been on blue light and I thought I wasted $$

We use this for dog smell, works great. Has 3 filter layers including charcoal for odors:

I have one at each work bench at my work (5 stations total), they completely filter out any bad flux smells. Adjacent offices stopped complaining when we installed these. They were put in for COVID, so each employee had a fresh air supply, but had the added benefit of working well for fumes. The auto setting works well, it kicks in within seconds of solde

I just got an air purifier and it works great. Coway Airmega 200M. It’s about $200 and so far is doing a great job with dust and animal hair as my son has allergies

I don't \*know\* that it works well, but I'm pretty happy with - the doggy smell (I have two very large loves) seems minimal now.

I've had one for five years and it's still working like the day I've got it. In contrast, my Winix units (I've bought three, two from Costco, one from Amazon, all gone now) started making really annoying noise 14-18 months into ownership.

Air Purifier Guyⓘ good to know

While not the most expensive on the market, the annual filter cost is a real expense to factor into your budget.
