Looks a bit strong if you think about it these fish don’t swim in that shallow ocean water and the flows aren’t this strong in their real environment

I do plan on adding a 2nd Gyre soon for acros, but one is enough for now.

I'm honestly pretty close to trading for a MP10 or Nero5, but I love the gyre's flow too much.

If the maxpect craps out I'll definitely be getting 2 more vneros to replace it.

My icecap is on the same blade, 5+ years and going strong!

I wouldn't buy it again if I knew I couldn't use it's full potential, but instead go for a wavemaker instead I think.

The maxspect XF330 gyre! A good pump but it's on the small side

Looks like too much flow for such a tiny tank

Reddit▲ recommend

I use a Maxspect XF330 Gyre pump to ensure full circulation of the tank. It permanently drove away the BGA.

My maxspect gyres are 5 years old and still all original parts I think their amazing wave makers

I've had the Maxspect Jump 2K and the xf330. I like that they give water movement throughout the tank, bit they do seem to lower performance over time untill you clean them again.

I wanted to chime in and say that my XF330 is annoyingly loud to see if anyone else thinks the same thing. I'm running it at 60% random on a 40 breeder, and the hum is audible from across the room.

Reddit▲ recommend

Everyone who gets them seems to love them so I think I'm going to take the plunge pretty soon.

They have a huge manufacturing defect problem on these rotors. I bought a brand new xf330 cloud edition from brs and it came with a horizontally cracked rotor.

Used XF330's on my 5'. Plenty of flow at 50-60%. Needs cleaned often to keep performance high.

I bought the xf 330 cloud edition last November. So far I've had 3 failures all due to the same reason

Yo tengo las 350 y la verdad es que son las mejores bombas de movimiento que he tenido

Been running two 330's and two mp40's via the Hydros and love everything! I bought extra cages and impellers for my gyres, which makes cleaning them super easy and fast.

After 13 months of owning the 330s I'd say don't waste your money.....They stink! I have a 4ft long tank. One pump (A) runs at 20% and the other (B) has to run at 80% in order for the flows to meet in the middle otherwise the 20% pump overpowers the other one

have had the same issue but mine has like disintegrated, it's only like 6 - 8 months old.

This is what I had to do to get mine working. With that setting on, everything works great. I have 3 sets on 3 wave engines. The gyre mode is the best in the business.

Reef2Reef▲ recommend

I just replaced two 3 year old Neptune Wavs with two XF330s, mainly due the flow control nozzles. I am now able to go above and below, left and right of SPS colonies without blasting them directly.

i bought this pump back in 2020 and within a year and a half this happened

I have 2 FX330 on my RedSea Reefer 250 and love them. So much so I just picked up another pair for a new Seahorse Tank I am getting ready to start.

Common problems & things to know

Practical notes owners raise — setup, quirks, and issues to watch for. They don't say whether the person likes the product, so they're not counted in the score, but they inform the pros, cons, and who it's for.

CoralVue HYDROS Forumⓘ good to know

I use 330s and the maxspect controller used 20% as a minimum in many cases and as low as 10% on modes like LTC. I similarly want my minimum speed down there on hydros but am cut off at 25%.

CoralVue HYDROS Forumⓘ good to know

My xf330 barely spins when hooked up to my wave engine, if I enable reverse function it runs normal speed when it thinks it is in reverse, somehow it seems to have forward and reverse mixed up
