if you're looking for a middle-of-the-road pump with a unique flow pattern that's now directional the new gyre fits that bill

I own a pair of XF330 Cloud Edition with the controller and am pretty happy with the purchase.

Need to fix their crashing app

YouTube▲ recommend

From what we see it, it seems perfectly fine. No difficulties finding settings or changing pump flow patterns.

One side works fine, the other side keeps slipping off. After contacting coralvue customer support, they told me that I am "reaching the limits of glass thickness" and that the gyres arent made for 3/4 inch glass. I informed them that the advertisement says otherwise.

the multi directions cancel each other or fight each other. so may as well use regular wavemaker.

It broke a fin on the second day and customer service from CV wouldn’t help. They said “that’s component is not covered.” Weak

I been running an used pair of XF350 and agree with all pros and cons.

Pumps are great added them to my tank. I personally like them over the mp40 and 60.

These are overkill unless you have a super long tank.

YouTube▼ don’t recommend

The app is absolute garbage. I really wanted to love this pump but the app makes me regret this purchase

YouTube▲ recommend

Really like the new controller and the ability to move each side in 2 directions.

not being Apex ready is not in any way a deal breaker for me

You never mention which app . Or instructions .. dislike button

Great pumps just wish they connected to APEX.

That bold print on the front of the box... "Near-Silent".... lol

Gyres move a ton of water.

YouTube▼ don’t recommend

Price too high

YouTube▼ don’t recommend

they were the worst direction Manual i have ever read. Also, the gyres need a lot of maintenance because the biofilm cuts the flow in half within a month or 2 of cleaning

I am running 4 xf350's on a 12' 3/4 inch glass display. Currently I have them vertical in each corner, but I have never had an issue with them holding in either horizontal or vertical.

The Maxspect XF300 Series Gyres are the newest gyre technology maxspect has. They are much much much easier to clean, and are much more powerful.

Reef2Reef▼ don’t recommend

I had the maxspect gyre xf350s on my 220Gallon, What garbage. When it worked it worked for a week and then you need to break them down and clean them. It gets OLD fast.

Two XF350 since launch. They are awful. They lose flow often, and they have just stopped working completely three times with no warning and no error notification

Reef2Reef▲ recommend

I am running 2 XF350s on opposite ends of a 6 ft 180 gallon tank and they are really powerful. At 75% the fish are literally being blown around.

CoralVue HYDROS Forumⓘ good to know

Default min on xf350 os 25%. Won't run there. Get pump error notification. Have to have it all the way to 40% to not get error. With maxspect controller I van get it down to 10%.

CoralVue HYDROS Forumⓘ good to know

on my brand new XF350s, I can barely feel any flow at 25%. It certainly isn't enough to impede the creation of gyre flow from the XF350 on the opposite side of my 48" tank.
