Eureka Mignon Specialita

Based on 273 comments across 3 communities
TL;DR
Owners overwhelmingly love the Specialita as a quiet, tank-built espresso grinder that pulls remarkably consistent shots and punches above its price. The big recurring gripe is the hyper-sensitive stepless dial, with some slop in it, which makes dialing in fiddly and adjustments hard to repeat. A meaningful minority also flag awkward switching between brew methods, retention and mess when single dosing, and trouble with light roasts or the rare defective unit.

78% of 273 verified owners recommend the Eureka Mignon Specialita.

It will replace my Eureka Mignon Specialita. I didn't expect it to produce better coffee, just to improve the workflow, which is what the video seems to confirm. I find single dosing with the Eureka messy and annoying.

I had a Baratza Sette 30 before and ungraded to the Eureka Mignon Specialita and there is a noticeable difference in the quality of my shots.

I use Linea Micra and Eureka Mignon Specialita which is very similar to your set up and never have issue like this.

my previous grinder, the Eureka Mignon Specialita, was out of alignment.

I bought the Eureka Mignon Specialita back in June 2019. I used it for over two years before buying a Niche.

I got the Robot and Eureka Mignon Specialita. I make 2-3 double shots per day. Extra on weekends and for company. I also got an extra portafilter and screen and that makes it super easy to make multiple in a row.

It clogs very easily. When the beans are even just a bit oily it's pretty bad.

Coming from a Eureka Specialita which has virtually zero clarity

Get Eureka Mignon Specialita, it can be easily converted to single dosing using two 3d printed parts (I am single dosing without them though, works fine), and you still have an option to dose by time if you're into it.

The eureka mignon is excellent, I have the specialita. However, it is really espresso-only. To do other grinds, you need to turn the knob multiple rotations, which makes it very difficult to get *back* to espresso. But it is an excellent grinder and *very quiet*.

I got myself Eureka Mignon Specialita and that seems good enough although im planning to upgrade my grinder in the near future.

Eureka mignon specialita + 3d prints for single dosing Bezzera Magica HX Loved the first couple of cups!

Eureka Mignon Specialita here with bellows and dial knob mods. Bellows improved retention situation significantly and supersized dial knob allowed much better control in adjustment. It's not perfect but sufficient for my current ask :)

The Specialita has higher highs than the niche but is fussy and I’m selling it. The DF83 is best of both worlds, better flavour than the other 2 without sacrificing a huge amount of mouthfeel, decent workflow although not as good as the niche, and easier to dial in than the Specialita

I often forget how quiet my Eureka Mignon Specialita is and then I hear another grinder

this is NOT a magic bullet, and to be honest I have to hit the bellows for a while to feel like I've really gotten out nearly all of the grinds. Mignons are not natural single dosing grinders.

If I had to do it over again, I wouldn't get the Eureka Mignon Specialita... it may grind beans well but it otherwise sucks for the price I paid for it... every time I grind I have to beat the machine like it stole something from me just to keep it from clogging... then I have to reach up with a toothpick to clear the shoot... its very aggravating.

I paired the Eureka Mignon Specialita with my BBE before I sold it and it tasted amazing too, so I would say the grinder did the most.

I have an Eureka Mignon Specialita and it’s very quiet but not that fast. On the plus side, it’s half the budget

Reddit▲ recommend

Maybe a slight step down from the Niche but nowhere near half as good as the price would suggest.

I upgraded from the Eureka Mignon specialita. It was giving me issues with lighter roasts. I had it for about 3 years. I was just getting annoying levels of uneven extraction.

Then I think there is slack or something in the eureka mignon Specialita because I mark exactly on the dial where my last setting is and it often will need re-dialing in.

When I upgraded my grinder (initially to a Kinu M47 hand grinder, later to a Eureka Mignon Specialita) it was like getting a whole new machine!

I thought the channeling was because of the attached grinder isn't the best, so I bought a separate grinder, the Eureka Mignon Specialita. This helped but still have the same issue.
