A range. St. Croix currently lists 29 freshwater spinning models and eight casting models, 5 feet to 7 feet 6 inches, ultra light through medium heavy, in one and two piece builds at $115 to $145. Separate Triumph Inshore, Surf, and Salmon and Steelhead families sit alongside them, so owner verdicts here cover many different blanks rather than a single rod.
Broken tips are the most repeated complaint in the owner reports, and usually from handling rather than fish: rods snapped in back seats, car doors and everyday knocks. Owners who like the rod still describe it as delicate next to an Ugly Stik, and a few have replaced the same model twice. Even so, 83% of owner verdicts recommend the line.
St. Croix backs the Triumph with a five year warranty, and a claim carries a flat warranty fee that its FAQ says covers shipping and handling, materials and overhead. Out of warranty breaks go through a separate claim form, and upgrading to a higher value model costs a further fee plus the price difference.
