they are reliable until they crack. personally i don't feel comfortable going to work with a pen that can crack like that. it has happened too many times to an eco that my partner had

Fountain Pen Network— neutral

This pen is a keeper and will go into frequent daily service :-) . While I immediately liked its design and its feel in my hand, the nib was a dud.

I’m actually surprised with how pleasant it is to write with this pen. I have 3 other TWSBIs—the original, the Vac, and the Micarta; the Eco may now be my favorite.

with TWSBI i can't. it does write smoother and wetter...just no shading which is my biggest motivation of using fountain pens

Fountain Pen Network— neutral

I also have a couple of ecos but they are un-inked and not getting any attention cuz I love the swipe so much. None of my twsbi pens have cracked.

I have 2 & really like them; the biggest plus for me is that they don't functionally replicate the Safari section. The Eco feels comfortable for my grip

Eco Stub is way too dry for my liking.

One of the smoothest ones I have, the nib now glides over a very thin layer of ink. However, this nib is very sensitive to pressure.

the Eco became a very comfortable pen for me and allowed me to use it as a workhorse pen I could use for long writing sessions with a relaxed grip.

Fountain Pen Network— neutral

I did have a little bit of trouble with posting initially, because it takes a bit more of a shove than I usually apply to that task

Fountain Pen Network▲ recommend

I stand by my objective rating of it, but from a subjective, in-use perspective it is certainly in with the Pilot Metropolitan for punching

Fountain Pen Network— neutral

While I enjoy my Eco, the possibility of it cracking someday is always in the back of my mind.

Fountain Pen Network▲ recommend

The Eco T lets you rotate the nib accordingly, which is what I do with the Eco, which allows me to use it for long writing sessions.

Fountain Pen Network— neutral

A new first impression with this pen: it's sensitive to temperature changes.

Fountain Pen Network▲ recommend

all nibs write in proper line width matching stamped width on them. Also all the pens wrote as per my expectations out of the box.

Fountain Pen Network— neutral

My nib was unusable but thankfully I managed to make it very smooth.

Fountain Pen Network▲ recommend

It turns my eco into a fun little pen. I just want to pick it up all the time. It's not a serious pen, but a joy to use.

Fountain Pen Network— neutral

My ECO works fine but I always wonder if it might crack some day.

Fountain Pen Network▲ recommend

The TWSBI (F) provides a bit of feedback, but nothing excessive; just enough to know you're in contact with the surface.

Fountain Pen Network— neutral

the only thing that puts me off the eco is the ugly finial.

I have EF nibs in four TWSBI models - a Diamond 580, a pair of Vac 700s and an Eco. All are smooth writers

Fountain Pen Network— neutral

Either way, my personal preference is somewhat smoother.

Fountain Pen Network▲ recommend

My experience with the stub nib has been similar - very generous flow, one of the wettest pens I have.

Fountain Pen Network▲ recommend
