HyperX Cloud Alpha Wireless

Based on 223 comments across 3 communities
TL;DR
Owners are nearly unanimous that the battery is the headline, with many going weeks or over a month between charges, alongside all-day comfort and solid sound for the price. The recurring gripes are software-related crackling, popping, and DTS latency for a chunk of users, plus a bass-heavy signature that often needs EQ to balance. It connects only through its 2.4GHz dongle with no Bluetooth or aux, the mic is merely okay, and a few owners report the plastic earcup hinges cracking over time.

65% of 223 verified owners recommend the HyperX Cloud Alpha Wireless.

I went wireless literally yesterday and I am super happy about the lack of cables.

I was having an issue with constant buzzing coming from my hyperx cloud alpha wireless and nothing was working untill I uninstalled the drivers and removed them from my computer.

I used both arctis pro wireless (not nova) and hyperx cloud alpha wireless. Arctis's mic isn't great but I didn't have any issues with latency. Hyperx however has issues and once u enable anything on their software it adds so much latency. It could be a bug idk but if u stick to stock it's fine. Hyperx has a better mic though.

For $200 it has DTS:X Spatial Audio, it's only usable on PC and PS5/PS4, no game/chat mix on the headset, no Bluetooth, sound is pretty good, battery is insane (300 hours on a single charge). However, without tweaking it has a lot of bass and it's been difficult to get a good balance that boosts footsteps in Warzone without other low frequency sounds drownin

The battery life is ludicrously good and there are no wires to get tangled up

Now I'm using a hyperx cloud alpha wireless headset in standard stereo mode and I can't hear anywhere near as far as I could with the razer, and the direction isn't as accurate either

there is a static noise, like a "tik" that can be heard when any sound stops playing, especially if they are bass heavy, and it becomes annoying quite quickly.

Has survived a dog attack but some aestheticall parts started failing after 1.5 years. Would have recommended 1 year ago but since HP bought it the build quality has down hill

It has a good sound and surround, but most people will buy this headset because of it's battery.

This is okay if you are looking for something wireless, sound exactly the same with their cable counterparts tho, a little bit overpriced for the sound they produce at 199$.

Well, as a not audiophile guy, I think they sound amazing.

After a few months, the right clasp that affixes the earcup to the head band just straight up exploded one day while I was wearing it. Gaming headsets in general are poorly constructed and way overpriced.

the HyperX Cloud Alpha Wireless is a monster. It's extremely comfortable, great bass with EQ options built into the software, Mic is pretty solid, headset is built very well

I have a HyperX Cloud Alpha Wireless and I still have the same problems with it. Inside the app I cannot change the spatial sound or the equalizer

The HyperX Cloud Alpha Wireless has a V-shaped sound signature, meaning boosted bass and treble, but it also has a somewhat closed, tin-can-like soundstage due to being a closed-back headphone

I can vouch for the HyperX Cloud Alpha Wireless. The main reason I got it was for the battery life, it was 300 hours. I used to charge them once every few months.

treat myself to a new pair of HyperX Cloud Alpha Wireless headset - which I have found to be way too bass heavy and quiet vs the Cloud II

the audio loudness quality sounds worse than using Windows Loudness Option (with another compatible headset) and also feels like I have delay when DTS is activated

I am currently using the HyperX Cloud Alpha Wireless with my PSVR2. It works but it's a very tight squeeze where the cups need to sit extremely low on my ear to not get entangled with the halo ring.

I bought the HyperX Cloud Alpha Wireless headset, and I keep hearing a high-pitched noise from the left ear when nothing is playing

Hello HyperX i purchased an amazing headset HyperX Cloud Alpha Wireless, high quality audio and it has 300 hour battery and charges pretty fast!!

noticed that the Alpha's volume is less in volume but more balanced. Somewhat between smooth and muddy but the in-game sound of CS sounds less crisp

Just bought the HyperX Cloud Alpha Wireless, and the mic is so bad. I have to scream so my friends can hear me.

I loved the fit of the HyperX Cloud Alpha Wireless. It's got 300 hours worth of battery per charge, which is insane. Seems to check out because I've been using it for almost 10 hours now and it's still at full power.
