Keychron V3 Max

Based on 34 comments across 3 communities
TL;DR
Great build and typing feel for the price, but a recurring double-typing/double-input bug plagues a large share—often returning across multiple replacement boards.

Just bought one at Gamebox 2025 Herning Denmark at the Elgiganten store and I love it... a big step up from my old Corsair K55

I got this keyboard, liking the keyboard ,compact mechanical keyboard ,rgb ,rgb is really good ,yes i agree not having shine through keys is not great but i dont use the keyboard with no lights on in the home , so not a major issue for me

My Keychron V3 Max broke after 1 month. They sent me a replacement PCB, it worked for 2 weeks, then broke again. Keychron refuses to give me a refund. Never buying from them again.

I truly can't think of a "feel" complaint with either one of these, they are both gasket mounted and pleasant to type on for long periods of time without strain or pain.

New V3 Max with Jupiter Banana keys. Love the feel of this keyboard. Using with a Macbook Pro M1 / Sonoma OS. BUT after using for about a week, the Command key is usually acting as an Option key

I currently own the KeyChron V3 Max which I love but I have consistently experienced a double input bug and after 4 replacement boards have decided to move on from the company.

I love the feel, sound, aesthetic, and PBT keys, but there's one big issue... I like being able to see the text on my keys, and the lack of shrine through makes the text invisible when it's dark.

I got KeyChron V3 Max, it’s my third mechanical keyboard as previously I used cheap Redragon and SPC keyboards. Build quality even can’t be compared.

tldr; I had a bad experienced with a V3 Max, wasted hours and hours of my life on it, and will never buy another Keychron

I love the keyboard aside from this issue and have a k5 max I’d also ordered to try out. Might just return both and try another normal profile board.

I've gone through three Keychron V3 Max keyboards that all develop the same double-typing issue after a few weeks of use.

I JUST finished the V3 Max build with TTC Frozen Silent Linear switches and PBTfans Atomic Purple caps, and OMFG, this is heaven to type on

I've had this Keychron V3 Max with Gateron Jupiter Banana switches for about an year now and for the most part I like it a lot. However, for the last 6 months or so some of the keys have been either failing or double pressing.

I've had mine for a few days now and absolutely love it, feels like a great board to start out with in the custom keyboard world

I just bought this keyboard and noticed it flexes a lot. Do you think it's bad?

Typing experience is absolutely great, which makes this even more annoying, If that makes sense.

Hab mir letztens das Keychron V3 Max geholt und dazu noch ein paar Silent switches (TTC Frozen Silent V2), bin mega zufrieden.

I would say for $89 (with shipping), V3 max is not a decent option.

It’s the closest I’ve ever had to a true mechanical feel and it’s far quieter than my Leopold FC750R with MX Cherry switches.

I don’t even enjoy it for gaming. I set it for basic strafing and it resulted in my character standing still when I tried to switch directions.

Examining them closely, the switches this came with are the Keychron Super Banana, so that helps explain why they're bad!

All in all, I'm happy with it. The feel is so much better than the generic membrane keyboards I've used for decades.

This is also happening to me, also brand new V3 Max. What a weird bug lol, not a good first impression at all
