Hoka Clifton 10

TL;DR
Owners who like the Clifton 10 praise its plush cushioning and smooth, all-day comfort for walking, standing, and easy runs, especially those with wider feet, and many call it the most cushioned Clifton yet. But sentiment skews critical: a large share say it triggers foot, heel, arch, knee, or Achilles pain, often blaming the raised drop and unstable soft foam, while the midsole goes dead around 300 miles and the outsole peels or falls apart well before it should. Many longtime fans feel it's a firmer, narrower, heavier step back from earlier Cliftons and no longer the value it once was.

38% of 126 verified owners recommend the Hoka Clifton 10.

Clifton are soft too but not AS soft I feel like there’s a bit more support. Clifton’s are also like noticeably less heavy than Bondis

I exclusively wear hoka Clifton 10s, the 9 and 8 before that, for my walking/running logging over 10k steps a day and they have NEVER looked like that

Midsole durability is a joke. Bondi's midsole suddenly compressed under my right heel leaving a hole. Cliftons did the same but under my right midfoot

Clifton wide was surprisingly very wide so I went with the regular fit Clifton 10 - still very comfortable and feel supportive

The Clifton is comfortable for most part! But How do you fit the orthotics in the Clifton and handle the narrow midfoot?

I've had 4 pairs so far. The last one I bought and had to return had some kinda defect to it. It def was lower quality than the other 3 pairs

I have the same problem with my Clifton 10s. After a few hours of walking around at theme parks, the back half of my feet really ache

Reddit▲ recommend

They also fee way more stable in the heel and midfoot. I couldn’t run in the 9s, but everything they changed is great for me

there really isn't much support for my arch like the bondi 9s have. So for a long period of time its not so good for me

developed knee pain in a matter of days. Noticed the inner heel of the left shoe was super soft causing my foot to collapse inwards

I've got the Clifton 10s and I love them. They're the first pair of shoes that have actually been helpful and comfortable

I am right now trying the Clifton 10 XWide men’s which are a good x wide but still midfoot as you say a bit narrow

Reddit▼ don’t recommend

Since starting to use Clifton 10s, I can barely walk a mile without pain. Clifton 10s are great, but are not really durable

Reddit▲ recommend

It's plush and padded enough, okay for runs (especially at easy paces) and great for casual use/walking. Sizing is TTS

these mid soles are so soft that they compress a lot under pressure so your heel sinks into the foam

Reddit▼ don’t recommend

I wore them for about 6 hours yesterday, and had to buy some basic tennis shoes during my break just to finish my shift

The one thing I miss is the Hoka wide toe box but I’d rather not deal with calf and tendon issues

Reddit▲ recommend

these black Cliftons are amazing to walk and stand! I've never wore a shoe that's so plush and stable at the same time

Reddit▼ don’t recommend

the extra “lip” on the back of the heel, which is meant to protect the Achilles, actually very much bothers my Achilles

Reddit▲ recommend

I wear them all day every day mostly walking on paved surfaces. Ive never had any issues with the 8 pair I own

Reddit— neutral

they relieved my knee pain. I do feel like I move my hips more when I walk, but it doesn't hurt

Reddit— neutral

these only give me problems with stability exercises, lifting weights these are perfectly fine

Reddit▲ recommend

I've tried both and vastly prefer the Clifton for casual walks and working in a store (standing on concrete)

Reddit▼ don’t recommend

I have very noticeable pain in right outside leg, I have not had any issues previously. I’m switching back to Clifton 9
