“I replaced it with a Anova Precision Cooker Nano (750w) and it's annoyingly loud. It lets off a whine. The 950W was basically dead silent. Think I'll try out Inkbird.”— Arsy51 on Reddit
“the Inkbird blows the Anova away…in every measure”— @Arizona_DryHeat on YouTube
“I just bought my anova pro and it is flashing fill when it is full.”— @evokehealingspacebend8654 on YouTube
“Don’t buy the Anova Nano. The lid will fell off because the screws are produced to break.”— @MrRobertLake on YouTube
“I have both, and the Nano annoys me. It’s design means the water must be much higher than with the taller one.”— karluvmost on Reddit
“Same problem but add an extremely loud screeching sound. It used to do it occasionally but it’s almost to the point of constant.”— jrf on community.anovaculinary.com
“After a few months the top screen part of the unit detached. Googling around it's clearly a common problem. It had replaced an earlier Nano which only lasted about a year before the water level sensor stopped working.”— SomebodysGotToSayIt on Reddit
“The Anova Pro has proven to be not fit for purpose - failed out of warranty with screen display malfunctioning”— @nevilleholmes4422 on YouTube
“My 2 yr old Nano makes a constant, very loud, rattling sound when in use and I can’t get it to stop. I clean it regularly. I used to hum very loudly as well but the rattling overpowers this. The noise can be heard in other rooms, it is so loud.”— jcl on community.anovaculinary.com
“The main tank looks like it's made from very brittle plastic. I imagine it's going to get broken pretty quick”— @KenFullman on YouTube
“On my nano I think something is not working with the circulator properly so it throws the Low error as if it had low water.”— Databit on Reddit
“My concern with the Nano would be that combining it's relatively poorer circulation and fixed clamping position your could have temperature stratification in larger containers.”— @rickryan2007 on YouTube
Not complaints — practical notes from owners that didn't affect the score.
“I just set up a Anova Nano with a custom fit cover and 12 qt polycarbonate container with a rack found on Amazon. Good setup for two people and shorter cooking times. Makes a high pitched whining sound when running. Not noticeable from 10 feet away. Was able to just fit two racks of ribs each cut in half into this setup. Did have to fool around with the w”— MrMajors on Reddit
“The new Anova Precision Cooker (and the Nano) is no louder (dB) than the old one, however, it makes a higher pitch sound, which some people find annoying.”— BostonBestEats on Reddit
“The Nano is the cheaper model obviously and it sometimes makes a high-pitched whining noise that's annoying.”— RepulsiveStrawberry on Reddit
“The nano is really just limited in the amount of heat it can put out, which means the bath heats slower and you need to make sure, if it is a bigger bath, than you keep it covered and fairly well insulated.”— nsfbr11 on Reddit
“i have never had the unit shut off from water and its really well insulated so i think it uses less electricity also”— Moopeeeee on Reddit
“My recommendation is to pay attention to the cleaning of the nano. It does not come apart like other models.”— Twitfried on Reddit
