Lasko 754200 Ceramic

Based on 22 comments across 2 communities
TL;DR
Owners say this little Lasko punches well above its size and price, heating a bedroom, office, or small room to toasty in minutes for around $25. The most common refrain is how long it lasts, with several people still running the same unit after 2-4 years (one since 2014) without issues. It's light enough to travel with and plays nicely with smart plugs and home-automation setups; a few note the fan can be audible and that it's really meant for small spaces rather than large rooms.

86% of 22 verified owners recommend the Lasko 754200 Ceramic.

For me it's only an issue in the winter, so I just put a [little space heater](https://www.amazon.com/Lasko-754200-Ceramic-Adjustable-Thermostat/dp/B000TKDQ5C) on the counter and point it at the mirror. Bonus feature: warmer bathroom.

Not as nice of a solution as there was no thermostat control built in but it worked to heat the room up at least prior to heading out there.

the heat made me concerned about it starting a fire

It's heating my room right now. (150 sq foot bedroom). http://www.amazon.com/Lasko-754200-Ceramic-Adjustable-Thermostat/dp/B000TKDQ5C It's ceramic. Quartz is supposedly a better technology, but I tried a Quartz one and it didn't seem superior to the Lasko.

It has higher range than the one on your list (it heats up 300 sq feet) and it’s cheaper to boot! I had this one when I lived in DC and it was a lifesaver.

This thing is on every night. Miracle worker bc I also have Raynauds (cold all the time). I take it with me too if I am not sleeping at home. To hotels, to the coast rental home... it comes with.

I have been using the Lasko 1500W Ceramic Space Heater with Adjustable Thermostat, 754200 for 2 years without any issues. I make my room airtight though. cover the gap btwn bedroom door and floor. Proofed the windows, etc. This keeps my room really warm.

this thing heats up my office ridiculously quickly in the morning and runs for most of the day without any issue. I would fight someone for that heater if they tried to snatch it!

$26, silent. Mine is on a smart plug. It's dead silent for me. I got my first one in 2014 and I still use it.

I have one of [these](http://www.amazon.com/Lasko-754200-Ceramic-Adjustable-Thermostat/dp/B000TKDQ5C/ref=sr_1_1?s=home-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1419219400&sr=1-1&keywords=space+heater) that works well too. The second heater has a low and a high setting (700W, 1500W) and I can heat an entire room with it.

heats a 10'x10' room pretty quick but it can be a little noisy due to the fan (kinda like a gaming computer or a laptop flipping its shit). Had one in my dorm in the winter and it was awesome.

that's the one I have, and it's amazingly warm. I don't turn the heat on in the winter, and I only have it in my room (2/2). It doesn't raise my electricity up by much

I've only had this one for three years, so I have no idea what will happen in the future, but it is extremely light and keeps my bedroom toasty.

This is what I use in my 17ft travel trailer and it keeps everything nice and toasty. I've tested it in -5°F and works great.

each one of my rooms has something similar to [this](http://www.amazon.com/Lasko-754200-Ceramic-Adjustable-Thermostat/dp/B000TKDQ5C) They do a great job at heating up whatever room I am in, and lowering that thermostat means I am not wasting cash in heating up the whole house.

It may not be the prettiest heater out there, but it's highly practical, and you'll have a hard time beating the performance at such a low price point.
