I bought two jagers when I set up my last tank about a year ago. The thermostat failed within a few weeks on both of them. Couldn't get any response from eheim to get them replaced.

Many people recommend Eheim Jager heaters as among the most reliable, so that's what I use as well. They are a little on the long side but it's otherwise been fine with me.

Eheim are notoriously hard to calibrate. I just got my second or third one and it took me 12 days to finally be able to make it work, and it’s off 3 degrees. That’s the best I could do.

Well the Eheim is working fine. Set at 79 temp reads 78.8. Just will not consider it for my main display tank since the glass is very reflective and distracts during viewing.

I've had my Eheim Jaggers for years on 4 of my tanks. They are my favorite trusted heaters. Bought a few used (very old) and they are still going strong, never see a fluctuation in temperature.

I have eheim jager and am not happy with it at all. The temperature keeps oscillating between 75 and 78. It's my first eheim, and I did not have this problem before

I use them on all my larger tanks and they have worked for a long time and are still running at a consistent temp. My one complaint is that it does not adjust to the temp you move it too

I have 6 of the eheim jager heaters and they are all calibrated wrong. 4 of them were like this straight out of the box and and 2 seemed to happen over time.

If you are set on getting a cheaper more basic heater look at Eheim Jager. I have a 150w and it works well, they are quite big when compared to other heaters though.

The 75 watt fit but didn't keep a stable temp. The 75 watt EJ works just fine in my Nuvo 14.

I use Jager heaters (Eheim associated company - German made 4 me) and they work great and have a 3 year warranty. Their tank size ratings are accurate as they can heat a tank they say they can with ease.

I have had this heater a little over a week now and it was accurate to a t up until this morning. I woke up to my tank @ 85degrees when I have it set on 79.

I replaced the Fluval with my old Eheim jager, to test it also. It took 3 minutes to increase temperature by 0,3 Celcius. Now I know my old heater is fine.

I bought an eheim jager 300w heater a while back and it didn't work.

I currently have two 300w eheim jager heaters that have been in service about 7 months now and just noticed both of them have water/condensation on the inside of the tube around the top part of the heater.

The Jägers(eheim) are my favorite I have 5 of them currently running as well as 5 of my old ones (15 years old) that all still work perfectly for some reason I have never had one kill my fish or fail in any way.

the heater is rated for 79 gallon tank but I can't get my temp above 75 degrees no matter how much I crank the heater, the red light is always on too

I've been using an Eheim Jager for a couple months and I'm very unhappy with it. After calibrating it the accuracy was maybe +/- 3 degrees.

I actually use an eheim jagger 300w for my 210 with the inkbird controller in the sump. Works awesome. I have another one (200 I think) in my 75

I've come to the conclusion that Eheim/Jager heaters are indeed the best, and can most definitely survive thermal shock scenarios

Out of 2 one failed in shortly less than a year. Temp adj ring froze. A warranty replacement direct from Eheim is UN-calibrateable. Not enough notches. Adj. wheels are WAY too stiff on mine for easy adjustment. Not impressed.

I bought two Eheims last year, both were crap. They would not recalibrate and one never shut off right out of the box.

I have had lots of luck with an eheim jaeger heater in a 10 gal freshwater setup. Hardly any fluctuations in temperature.

My very $$ eheim jager heater died within a year of purchase. I now use Hydors and haven't had a problem yet.
