TL;DR
Clean, low-noise preamps, easy setup, and bundled software make it a well-liked entry interface, though a recurring intermittent 'robot/buzzing' USB glitch has pushed some owners to return it.

It really sucks that focusrite put the mic channel on 2.

I actually just had the 4th gen Focusrite Scarlett solo. That one also had the “issue” of that one YouTube video my dad couldn’t get louder. But it also was able to run Spotify and other YouTube songs just fine.

The headphone out is pushing an 80-ohm pair of Beyerdynamic DT770 PRO cans EXTREMELY well

I just recently purchased a focusrite Scarlett solo 4th gen. Robotic sounds randomly, crackling etc that doesn't go away unless I unplug the USB and plug it back in.

i had the 4th gen focusrite solo also and that is supported on linux unofficially and it sounded great aswell, i brought it back as i wanted the Scarlett 2i2 instead as i wanted to power the podmic which the solo doesnt have enough gain for it.

Just bought one today - it is simple and right on the point! Does EXACTLY what it says, nothing less, nothing more - purrfect!

I ended up buying Focusrite Scarlett Solo 4th gen, but it had an intermittent "robot effect" issue, which I count not resolve through support. I ended up buying PreSonus AudioBox GO, which works great and costs even less.

I recently bought a Focusrite Scarlett Solo (4th Gen). Super simple to set up, comes with a load of software (Ableton Live Lite) and plugins. But you basically plug it in and play.

recently got a new focusrite (Focusrite Scarlett Solo 4th Gen). It was randomely glitching into a buzzing/robotic sound just like you said whenever I played league for some reason. I thought it was broken so I returned it, and got a new one. But the new one is doing the same thing.

I run these exact headphones through a focusrite scarlett solo 4th gen(!) with 300ohms impedance and they sound so fucking epic. Like you sit in a room with a perfect audio setup

I'm experiencing issues with distorted audio, random no audio output, and a message that my microphone has stopped working on several occasions now since I started using this month.

I have been looking up solutions to this for months, basically daily, and am even in contact with focusrite support who are going nowhere.

Tenho 3 interfaces em casa; Focusrite Scarlett Solo 4th gen, Behringer UMC22, M-Audio M-Track Duo. Dessas 3 a única que garanto que funciona perfeitamente é a Scarlett Solo.

I think this happens to everyone which is sad. It clearly a widespread issue that focusrite refuses to acknowledge.

I went with the Focusrite Scarlett Solo 4th gen and did not regret it. It’s not as portable but it has much more capability and works with just a battery pack or wall power if you need that

I came across this used, in good condition and with-original-box Focusrite Scarlett Solo 4th gen at 80€, which I thought was a bargain so I jumped on the deal right away.

I run with the focusrite scarlett solo 4th gen with the SM7b but also have to run a pre-amp like the triton audio fethead it works like a charm also one less cable to worry about while using that pre-amp..

It was the focusrite Scarlett solo 4th Gen I'm pretty sure, it was like $250 but that's not bad for the mic headphones and audio interface you get with it.

I gave up, same issues. Gonna smash the hell out of this thing as soon as i get another interface
