“so I went from that 2i2 to a Universal Audio Apollo Twin X. HOLY CRAP, the clarity of the mic was unfathomable. It was so worth it, but that’s for recording. If it’s strictly for production it doesn’t matter one bit. Speakers sound the same on both.”

“The Apollo isn't a great performer, but in most cases noise and distortion should be at or below the audible level.”

“Bottom line is the Universal Audio Apollo Twin X Duo was a stupid waste of hard-earned pay.
Don't even bother, unless you can afford at least a Quad.”

“I have a badass AMD CPU in my PC but when I bought my Universal Audio Apollo Twin X audio interface, I realized it needed a Thunderbolt 3 port to work and soon after realized that thunderbolt is an Intel thing so AMD PCs are almost completely out of luck.”

“I recently purchased Universal Audio Apollo twin x and it's the best thing I've ever done. I wish I did that from the beginning instead of all those other terrible interfaces I had, its totally worth the extra money. Just like you, I use it to record guitar, bass and vocals.”

“That's the experience I researched in advance before I bought my Twin X TB3 Gen 1 (the Gen 2's were announced while mines was out for delivery) and that's exactly how it worked when I set it up.”

“a Universal Audio Apollo Twin X Quad TB 3, all of which I currently have but just the UA gets any use these days. I don’t record as much quantity these days but I think the quality has gone up as a result.”

“I do feel like the UA card processes sound better. I have always been a bit disappointed with the "narrowness" and a kind of blandness of sound I got off the NI card. The UA sound has a very pleasing richness to it, like it's both crisper and wider.”
