Practical notes owners raise — setup, quirks, and issues to watch for. They don't say whether the person likes the product, so they're not counted in the score, but they inform the pros, cons, and who it's for.
“Hey, This might be a bit late. EU sold Levoit vacuum doesn't have that feature, believe it or not. I guess you can 3D print it somehow, I'm still investigating this option.”
“Hey there - curious how you use the attachments other than the regular vacuum bead? When I put the crevice or the brush it doesn’t suction at all. And I see air gaps. How do you solve for that?”
“I thought the subreddit must be dead set since nobody else replied with experiences with this vacuum. Now, I’m thinking that the issue has more to do with the throw rugs I’m trying to use this vacuum on.”
“That is the pits for sure! Mine stands by itself but if I left it set out all the time….I would be concerned that it could fall over because it is top heavy. I keep it in a closet and it has been fine there.”
“I have the same question. Did you figure it out? When I put my hand over it, there is some suction but not as much as I feel like there should be”
“Generally unless you can adjust the height and speed of the vacuum, it will eat smaller throw rugs. I have a cordless and vacuum only the edges of smaller thin rugs. I can vacuum larger heavier rugs with my cordless.”
“Kinda took it apart and broke the tab holding battery pack pins. Hopefully they can still take but I was going to try in the morning. Thank you.”
“Sorry to ask, but there's any trick to make it stand on its own? I just bought one and can't, for the life of me, make it stand upright.”
“What did you finally decide to buy? My vacuuming needs are the same as yours and I have also been curious about the Levoit. Thanks!”
“I don't recommend the Smoture vacuum because there's nothing impressive about it and when these small brand vacuums break most of them have no replacement parts available. What kind of flooring do you have and what's your budget?”
“Im thinking to buy LVAC-200 Cordless Vacuum as i have a dog it ll last for a while_ do you think should I have another vacum?”
“As am I - please any update would be appreciated! This just started happening to me. I purchased mine last fall 2024...”
“I had the same problem and found the blockage was in the brush roll. There’s a button on one side of the unit that unlatches the end, move that up a bit and the whole roller comes out. Then you can clean behind it. We had tons of cat fur clogging ours.”
“Which model did you get? I ordered the lvac -200 and I’m in the uk and I can’t get it to stand on its own !!”
“See if you can contact levoit for a warranty repair, sounds like something has gone wrong with the motor.”
“Does anyone know what the part is called on the lvac 200 inside the dust bin that you can twist to remove to get out any stubborn hair clogs... I lost mine somehow which i know is insane.- but i cant seem to find a replacement part for it.the white cyclonic thing”
“Is this really only 3 lbs? The lightest Dyson cordless stick is over 5 lbs.”
“Hi, me too! I think it’s just called the cyclone. I could only find the part on Ebay with the dust bin attached ($40-50 I think). This actually happened before with another cordless I had. Makes me so mad haha! It just goes poof, absolutely nowhere to be found. (In the dumpster, probably)”
“Have you looked in the manual? They may name it in the parts section.”
“Maybe for Health and Safety or prevent it to tip over, the EU version made it not free standing out of the box Finally found a work around: Issue is the small notch next to the Levoit logo. Take an utility knife to carve out the white notch so the black stick part can fit into the vacuum head.”
“Oh no! Uhh hmm. I think the only trick is to make sure it’s locked fully into the upright position (in that the stick is not disengaged from the brush head and leaning back like you were vacuuming). On mine, I do have to keep my foot on the brush head while I push the stick forward to get it back in.”
“Any update on this? I seem to be facing a similar issue”
