Berkley Trilene Big Game

TL;DR
Owners reach for Berkley Trilene Big Game because it's cheap, tough, and strong enough to land big fish without flinching at a break-off. It's abrasion resistant and reliable year after year, which is why many keep it as their everyday mono. The main gripes are line memory that creeps in after a while on the reel and noticeable stretch that means setting the hook hard on long casts.

84% of 32 verified owners recommend the Berkley Trilene Big Game.

tried the berkley big game solar green next. I shines bright in uv. Problem was its 25 lb. Casting fistance reduced and with 1-2 oz weights line bags a lot in middle.

I've used Berkley Big Game in 15lb mostly due to the toughness fishing US rivers but was getting really sick of the line memory. It always held up but just annoying.

Memory was significantly worse than I remember...like trying to reel with a slinky

I'm happy with Berkley Big Game Trilene mono in dark green for everything but ultralight tackle in clear water.

For knot strength, our 10lb test line broke at 94% of the line's rated strength but 79% of it's actual tested strength of 11.8lbs.

Great line but super stretchy, so make sure you set the hook hard on a long cast

I buy Berkley Big Game 60# mono for leaders when going for bigger cats. No point in spending a lot on leader material so long as it's a good brand.

I've been using 12lb Berkley Big Game for most of my fishing and haven't had any problems getting broke off.

For cheaper line that Berkley Big Game works pretty good honestly .

I really like Berkley big game. I use both the 20 and 30 lb for surf fishing. Landed multiple 50-70 lb leapord sharks on both 20 and 30 with no issues. I use clear and green line.

I spool them with 20lb Berkley Trilene Big Game, which is much cheaper than braid, but very abrasion resistant, plus you won’t cry if you break off 25-50 yards on a bad snag.

The berkley trilene big game is the best mono line I've ever had. It has more give before breaking than most other lines hence if you unsnag make sure you stand to the side.

I also like Berkeley Big Game mono. At this point I use straight 4lb-8lb flouro on my BFS combos, 10lb Yo Zuri Hybrid on my jerkbait combo, and 20lb Berkley Big Game on my hardbait swimbait combo.

Trilene Big Game. 15lb mono. Great quality line that is green in tint and is very very durable. It also casts nicely. I run it for most of my salmon gear.

40 lbs berkley big game hi viz green mono with big game 80 lbs clear mono leader. Use your drag right and that should never break even on a monster.

Berkley Trilene Big Game is the only mono I have on anything non-ultralight anymore, it seems to be pretty good cheap line for messing around.

I use Berkley Big Game without issues. It is low cost but works well. The line is not too light. I run 12 on a reel.

I've been using berkley big game for a couple seasons now. I've rarely had to stretch it before fishing, the stuff is already pretty limp and shoots great! I think you're going to like it. I wouldn't go back to a coated running line after using mono :)

berkley big game mono 15lb is just too cheap and sturdy to ignore. Sure other lines cast better.
