Berkley Trilene Big Game

Scored on 32 verified owner verdicts, from 177 comments read across 6 communities
TL;DR
Owners reach for Berkley Trilene Big Game because it's cheap, tough, and strong enough to land big fish without flinching at a break-off. It's abrasion resistant and reliable year after year, which is why many keep it as their everyday mono. The main gripes are line memory that creeps in after a while on the reel and noticeable stretch that means setting the hook hard on long casts.

84% of 32 verified owners recommend the Berkley Trilene Big Game, based on real owner verdicts aggregated from Reddit, enthusiast forums, and YouTube.

I would say the 20lb line is actually 25lb just labeled as 20 to make it appear way stronger than other name brands

I've used Berkley Big Game in 15lb mostly due to the toughness fishing US rivers but was getting really sick of the line memory. It always held up but just annoying.

Great line but super stretchy, so make sure you set the hook hard on a long cast

I tried the Big Game mono and it was pretty bad. Terrible memory, terrible abrasion resistance, terrible casting distance, terrible knot strength, terrible overall performance.

tried the berkley big game solar green next. I shines bright in uv. Problem was its 25 lb. Casting fistance reduced and with 1-2 oz weights line bags a lot in middle.
