SuperPower Braided Fishing Line

TL;DR
Most owners keep coming back to KastKing Superpower for its price, calling it the best value braid on the market and reporting years of trouble-free use across dozens of reels, with several praising its strength against big fish and its casting performance. But a vocal minority reports real durability problems: line that snaps well under its rated strength, dye that bleeds onto hands and gear as colors fade fast, and a rougher braid texture that causes more wind knots and can groove guides and reel bails over time. A smaller group also finds casting distance disappointing, describing the line as waxy or stiff. Overall it's seen as a solid budget choice for casual use, but not universally trusted for heavier or more demanding fishing.

62% of 8 verified owners recommend the SuperPower Braided Fishing Line, based on real owner verdicts aggregated from Reddit, enthusiast forums, and YouTube.

I personally hate Kast King as it has that waxy consistency which reminds me of fireline and your cast distance really suffers with it.

This simple fact has made me leery to buy KK again, simply because of the idea that when put away, I'm putting my reels up soaking in saltwater.

I've never had a problem with it and since I've used so many types of braids and they all sooner or later fade

I can't see any diff between, kastking or hercules, godline, seaknight etc.

Kast King for all my rods and reels. Period. Cannot beat cheap good products.

use kastking once and that was enough for me to not use it anymore

ill take 15 pound .. good enough for the price..

why would anyone choose the shitty made in china brand over PP?

My only dislike of kastking was my bulk spool of 50lb green braid. Once it got wet the dye started dripping off onto my hands, reel, and boat carpet.

Tried last king and it kept breaking above the knot

Been using kk superpower for 3 years now, no complaints

I tried cast king once. For whipping lures. I changed it very quickly. Wind knots galore! But I would agree it's fine fine for dunking bait.

I have kastking on a couple reels and it hasn't caused any problems. I did notice the color came off on my fingers when I Spooled it.

Super strong and smaller diameter. What's not to love?

YouTube▼ don’t recommend

I used to use kastking braid but it would eat through my eyelets and has made ridges in my spinning reels on the bail where the line goes through it. It's a very rough/chunky braid almost like a saw.

YouTube▲ recommend

it is on all 24 of my reels

Everybody knows cast king is junk

For the price 25% is good enough I agree. Just need to be easier on the brakes.

Yes it's cheaper, it'll work. But it's nothing special.

i was expecting more from this line

KK hold up great for fighting large fish, casts light lures a long distance and has good light strike sensitivity

Personally, I didn't care for it. I put it on a conventional reel and wasn't thrilled with it. It's a rough braid, not smooth. I took it off after a couple of trips.

That's pretty good tbf

Kastking is legit. I was muscling in 12-20lb channel cats with it last summer. Never let me down.
