Sufix 832 Advanced Superline

Based on 56 comments across 3 communities
TL;DR
Owners consistently praise the Sufix 832 for casting smoothly and far, with a thin, durable build that many keep on their reels for years. The most common gripe is that the high-visibility colors fade well before the line wears out, and the thinner diameters can cut bare fingers during hard casting. Abrasion resistance is solid but not class-leading, and a few feel the price runs a touch high.

88% of 56 verified owners recommend the Sufix 832 Advanced Superline.

Their high-viz braid fades very quickly. This is a much bigger deal and is why why I dont use it anymore. A lot of the time I use braid specifically because I want something that is very bright so I can line watch, so the fact that it fades when it’s only maybe 10% through it’s useful service life makes it a nonstarter for me.

[Sufix's Advanced 832](https://sufix.fishing/products/832-advanced-superline#path=colorname/Camo) is one of the best bang for your buck.

Thinner Sufix 832 doesn't seem to like it though, in those cases a uni knot with the line doubled over usually works fine.

I bought the ghost 832 without doing research and it's straight white. Easy as everything to see, almost regret buying it.

I like sufix 832. It's sometimes hard to tell what brands are good and which are just hype in the fishing world, but in my experience sufix works really well. It's very smooth and resists wear well.

I’ve never managed to cut myself on it like I have sufix832

I use Sufix832. Great line. Super strong and the 8 strands make it perfectly round, cutting down on noise and eye wear.

The fibers devided themselves. It has happened on 3 spools of 832.

The only issue I've had with the sufix 832 is the color fades pretty fast.

I use Sufix 832 or Power Pro as they perform the best throwing bigger lures.

832 is TRASH line.

I settled on Sufix 832 Advanced Superline solely because it’s still on every rod I originally put it on. I haven’t had a mainline break since lol.

I use straight 30lb Sufix 832 Advanced Superline. No issues throwing lures or texas rigged plastics.

With Sufix the very occasional wind knot will pull right out as the line is very smooth.

I prefer power pro super slick v2 and sufix 832 for braid

I like to use the rope-like braided line (15lb Sufix 832) either with a steel leader or a section of 20lb fluorocarbon line tied directly on with a double uni knot

I fished the California delta punching with 3 oz weights and I only used 35-40# sufix 131 and 832, why? Because it cut through vegetation faster and the low diameter means I have more line on the reel.

I have a preference for 832 mainly because it's a smoother 8 strand weave, so you'll cast a bit farther, and I find it sinks better than most braids.

I use Sufix 832 line. 40 pound test is the same diameter as 8 pound mono, so you get super strong line that you can throw far and great feel.

I love going after the little guys with an ultra-light rod, and my tiny diameter Sufix 832 braided line.

the biggest difference for me was honestly how easier it was to deal with birds nest and tangles

Last note I fish every other weekend and I have had the same suffix line on my reel for 2 years.
