Tribit StormBox Micro 2

Based on 51 comments across 2 communities
TL;DR
Owners overwhelmingly love how big and full the StormBox Micro 2 sounds for something this small, calling it loud, pocketable, and great value, with a strap and IP67 rating that make it a go-to for hikes and travel. The most common gripe is that it caps maximum volume once the battery runs partway down, and a few note high Bluetooth latency for video, limited treble, and the odd disconnect. For music on the go it's a standout little speaker; for movies or gaming it's a weaker fit.

71% of 51 verified owners recommend the Tribit StormBox Micro 2.

I bought the Tribit StormBox Micro 2 hoping it would be better than the JBL Clip 4, but unfortunately this is not the case. Firstly, it is quieter. Secondly, it has much worse bass.

Louder. It actually surprised me how much punch this little guy has - Slightly deeper bass, especially noticeable at mid-volume - Strap works better for bikes than JBL’s clip IMO

I didnt think the micro2 sounded that bad but i did think the Bose Micro sounded a bit better. Just a more comfortable balanced sound

The Tribit is great for its size and when you don't take your laptop with you, but bigger speakers will offer you more sound.

I like the Tribit more, smaller and pretty close in terms of volume, more balanced sound and a pleasure to listen to at 40%-60% volume when you are on the go or in a small room

I really wanted to buy the Tribit Stormbox Micro 2 but I found it has horrible latency of 265ms, so it's truly awful for watching movies, youtube or gaming on it. The only thing you can use it for is music.

the Tribit Storm Micro 2 has a bit better sound quality. Also something to note the Monster Cube 1 is lighter than the Tribit Storm Micro 2. I think both of them are good Tribit is my choice though

But I find that the EQ on the Tribit gen 2 really doesn't improve the treble. I really dislike the lack of high end sparkle on the Tribit.

Also some older Micro 2 don't seem to want to update to the same latest firmware, have to install the app and see.

TBm2 is a lot more full-bodied sounding with a lower-end bass but lesser focus placed on the higher frequency but with some EQ adjustment, you can adjust and improve vocals if that is what you prefer.

IMO the SBM2 is clearly tuned for outdoor personal use, which is how I use mine the vast majority of times.

I had the stormbox micro and have the stormbox micro 2. Even with a custom eq, I don't like the sound of the micro 2 as much.

Does it still cap max volume once it reaches ~40-60% battery? My biggest gripe with the 2 by a longshot

Tribit stormbox micro 2 (still my favourite speaker in size till today i got it previous week but i also had one in the older times but i sold it still awesome for everyday carry without taking much space!)

Two Stormbox Micro 2s in stereo are great for portability, but the Motion+ is fuller and cleaner overall

I bought it month ago for 50 and it sounds like it should be 100+, big quality sound from small speaker, probably best price to quality ratio.

Look for another brand, Tribit will not work after 4 years. They make sure of it.

It's a good speaker and fits in your pocket, but you can get better larger speakers for less money..

I ended up switching from the Micro 2 to a Flip 6 and I love it!

I have one and actually shocked how good it sounds for being soo small. It has a built in strap which makes it easy to attach to a bicycle. It’s also ip67 rated so a little rain won’t bother it and has newer Bluetooth 5.3.

It fits in my pocket .. it's water proof.. sounds better than jbl clip series ... ita very worth it to me.. I got a second one recently.

Tribit is good but not good enough (for me).

This is the most annoying thing with the 2!

micro has the whole package of punching above its weight for its size. that’s always the expectation in reviews. it’s ultra portable.
