Despite its compact size, the bass is phenomenal. I have been utilizing it for three years with no complications

JBL charge 5 - better soundstage, a tad of better quality than boom 2

I have tried like 4 or 5 jbl charge 5s before buying the roam. It is smaller but so much cleaner sound. All the jbl had some weird resonating sound like vibrating plastics in some songs.

Awesome loud and clear quality. Great bass. And one of the best battery life.

Can I note that on full volume it only lasts about 5 five hours

That piece of shit never worked well, it was always a pain in that I always had to re-sync it and there was a huge delay between when you press the buttons and when it powered up.

the audio keeps cutting off. When I'm listening to music,, in stereo mode, the audio suddenly starts cutting out for periods of 5 to 10 seconds until it settles itself

The JBL Charge is the most compact speaker that I would say is ok for listening to music.

Just bought a charge 5, the sound quality +bass blew me away!

I have one of their typical Bluetooth speakers for casual music listening and I'll connect to my laptop sometimes for watching a show or movie and it also cuts out at low volume parts. It's the Charge 5

Ich habe auch einen recht 'dicken' (JBL charge 5), doch der ist eben teuer und ziemlich groß.

I've never been disappointed. It slots in perfectly on my workstation. This speaker really packs a punch.

JBL charge 5 has terrible sound quality as a single speaker, literally worse than my $40 knockoff that's finally on its last legs. Just returned one

i'll have to disagree. Sure get JBL if you don't care of price/performance, but it is just paying more for less. I have heard my friends charge5 and it seemed boomy with honky mids, but yes it is overall reliable and sturdy speaker, battery life is very good, it floats..

New computer JBL Charge 5 awful same issues and actually laying it on it's side it gets bettter until it doesn't. I'm done with JBL after this

This thing is a machine. It's very small but gives you a good sound quality and bass

This thing is super durable dropped it 2 yimes off of a fork lift and not 1 scratch!!!

I literally just bought a JBL Charge 5 (has no aux input) to use with my Windows 11 Desktop, and I have not been able to get them to connect.

Charge 5 being mono sounds too flat compared to Marshall. With Marshall I can hear the sounds that are missing with charge 5. Charge 5 tho gets louder for sure and still is a great Bluetooth speaker for party music

Reddit▼ don’t recommend

My JBL Charge 5 was paired and connected correctly with my Windows 11 PC. The Vol+/- and Play/Pause worked fine. But there was no sound.

the sound quality from the Flip 6 is better. I believe the frequency response is identical, or at least extremely close, on both models. Personally I find the sound quality on the Flip 6 to be... Richer, warmer, and with better clarity.

I love my charge five!

I really like it.

r/Bluetooth_Speakersⓘ good to know

The ULT Field 1 can reach a bit deeper than the Charge 5, producing deeper frequencies at a slightly higher volume.

r/Bluetooth_Speakersⓘ good to know

the Ult Field 1 mantains a good volume on bass down to 45hz while the Charge 5 died at that same frequency

r/JBLⓘ good to know

I own both Dummy.. they ARE the same in loudness, bass, and even quality. Nothing has changed on the wifi exept chromecast streaming and Dolby atmos (which is bullshit). They have the same driver layout, same battery, same charging speed, and they removed partyboost.. THEY ARE THE SAME SPEAKER.
